Advantages Advantages Relaxing, Effective, Affordale, Natural, Long Lasting, Adaptable

Disadvantages Disadvantages Took some getting used to!

Everyone who reads my reviews will know by now what a huge fan I am of Lush products, in fact of the whole company as well as their wonderful array of gorgeous smelling products, I love their morals and ethics in general. Lush's beliefs are at the heart of everything they do, they only use the best of fresh ingredients and the finest of essential oils buying only from other companies that do not commission animal testing, they make highly effective products from soap to perfume all which are invented by themselves and individually handmade using safe synthetics with the bare minimal recycled ... more

Advantages Advantages Very gentle and yet very effective, doesn't scratch but does exfoliate well

Disadvantages Disadvantages A bit gentle for those who prefer a really "scrubby" exfoliator

My meeting with Angels On Bare Skin came from a combination of online window-shopping, a desire to try something different and a recession-fuelled dilemma along the lines of, “Can I really justify spending £16.50 on that Clarins exfoliator when one tube only lasts me two months?”. Being the history enthusiast that I am, I liked the mention made on Lush’s website that Angels On Bare Skin was inspired by mediaeval skincare recipes (even if my realistic side wonders whether mediaeval ladies really were that bothered about exfoliating!) and - because lavender and rose are two of my favourite ... more

Advantages Advantages Has been very good at balancing my skin - great gentle exfoiator

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Bit pricey

Lush - ‘Angels on Bare Skin’ Fresh cleanserThis is my favourite of Lush’s fresh cleansers and one I buy regularly. When I was lucky enough to attend a Lush event where we made our own fresh face mask and then we were treated to a free facial in the store I had the chance to try many other cleansers but this remains my firm favourite.I usually choose Lush products for ancient dry and lined skin as I am getting to that stage and so when I was in Lush asking advice on which cleanser to buy over a year ago I was advised that this one would be best for me and I haven’t looked back. This fresh ... more

Advantages Advantages great for all skin types, cleanser + exfoliator all in on

Disadvantages Disadvantages can be messy and prices have gone up recently

For those of you who have viewed my other reviews you will know i bought twocleansers aqua marina, herbalism and got a sample of angels on bare skin while i was on holiday.. while aqua marina left my skin too dry, i really liked the texture and smell of herbalism and was almost reluctant to try angels..of AOBS as its known simple because i believed i'd had found the perfect cleanser for me why try anything else? right? WRONG! While this doesn't have the nice herby aroma of herbalism it is as an effective cleanser as well more nourishing for the skin..whereas I was topping up with moisturiser ... more

Advantages Advantages Instant results, gentle, natural ingredients

Disadvantages Disadvantages Rather messy to use, "expensive"

My first step into a Lush shop recalls the saying "Beggars can't be choosers.". I'd tried my share of facial cleansers, and suffered burning sensations, revolting smells, gloopy grits and pathetic results and was left with basically the same skin condition as before: nothing too gruesome, but a bit too spotty and splotchy in colour to call healthy. The joys of being a teenager. So, I finally stepped in the store I'd termed "That smelly shop" for the last two years. Since this isn't a review of the store, I'll keep my praise to a minimum: this is really how all shops should be, no-fuss, helpful ... more

Advantages Advantages Good Name, Makes Skin feel Awesome

Disadvantages Disadvantages Looks Bad, Almonds and Eyes Do Not Mix, Pricing

I don't know how many other guys out there use this stuff but more of them should because it's great! I started using this weird almondy paste around a year ago and without getting too graphic, it's become a staple in my daily shower routine. When you open it up you would be forgiven if you thought it was what happens when you put a frog in a blender. It's not that, so what is it? Well above I called it a paste and that's basically the best way to describe it. It's got almond shells and I'm pretty sure seaweed bits in (correct me guys/gals) if I'm wrong and ..... it looks terrible. Looking at ... more

Advantages Advantages Leaves skin feeling clean and soft, smells divine, lasts a long time

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can seem a bit expensive, triggered an allergic reaction

Being fairly new to facial scrubs, and only ever trying the Naturals line by Avon, I decided I wanted something a little more friendly and made of real natural ingredients. I thought of the Lush company. I didn't know a lot about them apart from the fact that they use all natural ingredients and are against animal testing. So I decided to pop into my local shop to see if they had anything I could use! On first impressions of the shop I was greeted by a Sales Assistant who asked if I needed any help. I asked if they had any facial scrubs that would be suitable for sensitive skin and I was ... more

Advantages Advantages Lovely smell, leaves skin soft

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not sure it would cope with heavy makeup

I've tried lots of Lush products but hadn't tried any of their facial skincare products before I bought this one. I chose it on a whim as I was staying with a friend in a different city and had managed to forget my usual cleanser - I know I could have borrowed something but it seemed too good an excuse to treat myself in Lush! As I'm sure you know, Lush pride themselves on their natural ingredients, and lack of additives and preservatives in their products, and this is no exception. This contains Rose Oil and Lavender Oil as the main ingredients, and Lush claim 'you'd be hard pressed to find a ... more

Having dry and sensitive skin, prone to redness and an uneven skintone, I find a lot of cleansers simply dry my skin out...finding that my skin is better off without using a cleanser has been eye-opening for me and made me decide not to use any cleanser in future. However, it did not feel right somehow, to moisturise without cleansing (I have to moisturise as even tap water dries my skin out). I also started breaking out more than I've ever done so I decided to make a compromise and try something "natural". Therefore I went into Lush and enquired, since I was unsure if to get Angels on Bare ... more

Advantages Advantages Choose the amount you buy, good enough to eat, softens skin

Disadvantages Disadvantages Strange texture, goes off after a short time

Anyone whose ever walked within fifty feet of a Lush outlet will know theres one near due to the overwhelming smell of lovely products! My skin- Can be prone to spots and quite greasy, but is very dry and sensitive. I was recommended this product by the wonderfully helpful Lush assistant as a way to gently cleanse my skin, as sometimes the variety of products can be overwhelming. The product- A very strange texture. The best way to describe is imagining clay with bits of pot-puree stuck in the middle! The idea is to rub the product over damp skin in order to cleanse. It does spread over the ... more
