Advantages Advantages Cleanses perfectly, mild exfoliation, smells wonderful, moisturizes well

Disadvantages Disadvantages Little messy and a little pricey

So, here I am with my very first review on Ciao and the product that I'm gonna review is as you all know, Angels on bare skin Facial Cleanser by Lush. But before that, for those who are not aware of Lush, its a company that sells fresh handmade cosmetics, does not test on animals, uses recycling process for their packaging, uses no or very lil preservatives & uses 100% natural organic ingredients in their products. I personally like the fact that they mention all the ingredients on the products and you actually know what you are putting on your face and it's not like some weird chemicals you ... more

Advantages Advantages makes skin so soft and smooth, combats oil, natural

Disadvantages Disadvantages smell takes a bit of getting used to, messier than regular cleansers

I know that LUSH isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I personally really enjoy their products. I definitely prefer natural products as I'm a bit wary about some of the harsh chemicals that are in a lot of body/skin care products. I have been using LUSH for years - they have a lot of really great products but Angels On Bare Skin is definitely one of my favourites! I can see why it's one of LUSH's best selling products. I have quite oily skin and had been looking for something to combat it for a while. I was looking at reviews on the LUSH website and a lot of people said AOBS was good for ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

Lush Angels on Bare Skin Another Lush product that I have used many times now and the reason for that it that it is a great little pot of cleanser which lasts a good amount of time for the price and feels like a little bit of a treat with each use. Price and Packaging The Lush's website is selling for £5.50 pence which gets you a pot of 100 grams. Compared to other cleansers you can buy this is about the right price especially as it is a Lush product and made from a medieval recipe which is said on their website to be an expensive treat back in those times. It comes in a small clear plastic ... more

Advantages Advantages Smells yummy, feels great, good results

Disadvantages Disadvantages A bit yukky looking

I love the lush shops! Just walk in and the smell instantly hits you, which was the main reason I went in the day I brought this. I fancied a treat and after a nose round (quite literally!) I came across this. Feeling chuffed, I purchased it and went home. The next morning, I decided to give it a go, so I followed the instrustions on the tub.'Take a pea sized blob and squish it in warm water to make a paste. Smooth this overyour face and rinse away, tone and moisturise'. As soon as it was on my face, the smell became unbelievable. From a meadiaeval recepie, it smells unbelievable, a mixture of ... more

Advantages Advantages Makes your skin lovely and smooth

Disadvantages Disadvantages Bit of a hassle to use

Well, I'm a great fan of Lush, picking up everything and smelling it all and usually come out covered in smelly powder. I must have tried everything in there in samples. Angels on bare skin is one of my favourites. ***The store*** I went to Lush in covent garden. It's fantastic, so colourful and smells incredible. The people that work there are very friendly, interesting characters. The girl there talked to me about my skin and told me that this stuff was best for my combination/dry skin. So, although this stuff worked well for me, I don't know how it would work on someone with oilier skin. So ... more

Advantages Advantages Natural and paraben free.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive. Dries up quickly when not being used.

This cleanser is a solid cleanser for the face and comes in a 100g black pot complete with lid. It is a mix of almonds, kaolin and lavender. It smells pleasant enough and you can instantly detect the lavender. I find this cleanser easy to use. I scoop up a small amount of it with my fingers, mix it with warm water and then mix it to a paste. The cleanser spreads well onto my face and it isn't too messy to use. It leaves your skin feeling clean and smooth after use. This cleanser is good as it is natural and it contains no parabens. It does have it's flaws though. Firstly, it sticks my eyes ... more

Advantages Advantages Smell and feeling of it

Disadvantages Disadvantages Quite expensive, doesn't do anything

I've got to admit i don't have troublesome skin. I have normal skin, not dry nor oily, and i get quite a few spots now and again. I brought this because i also have dull skin that needs to brighten up a bit. When i first brought this i thought it was quite cool, it only has a shelf life of 3 months though, however they do give you quite alot for the price. 100g to be precise. I payed £5.16 for it. I've been using this twice a day (Morning and night) for about a month now, and well i've not seen a difference. There's ground almonds in it, and that is supposed to exfoliate and get rid of dead ... more

    Advantages Advantages it works!

Disadvantages Disadvantages don't answer the door with it on!

I tried this as I was going to a ball and wanted to give my skin a treat beforehand. The assistant that I spoke to in Lush asked me what I wanted and recommended this. The name is almost irresitable in itself, so I thought I'd give it a go. It looked rather muddy and thick, but anyone who uses a face pack will be quite used to that! So, got home, ignored the doorbell, sat back and relaxed. A quick wash off and.............wow!.......visible results. Firmer, glowing skin instantly! I was told that this was like an instant temporary face lift, but didn't fully believe it until I saw for myself ... more
