Advantages: Really detoxes the skin! Disadvantages: Pricey
...working my way through the Lush face masks, I must admit I'm slightly addicted...okay I'm completely addicted and not ashamed to say so. I'm so in love with the fact that the products are made with pure thought and devotion that no other cosmetic company rivals them. As I've come out the winter, spring and now coming into the summer I have suffered horrendously with bad, dry skin and unfortunately due to have a few patches of eczema on my face, mainly ... ...price!) and I went to Lush as per usual. It's the same old story, if I can't find anything in a shop I go to Lush! After looking at all the different varieties I opted for the one which appealed the most to me and to my skin type. Lush say that Brazened Honey is the deep-cleansing, detoxifying mask that you should use "when you are thoroughly ashamed of what you've done to your skin." ...going with name.. Lush fresh face masks are completely preservative free so they have to kept refridgerated and used up witthin one month, after that they go off and smell funny much like food does. You can;t miss the masks theyr the ones in big bowls sitting on a pile of ice. As I have had some bad and some good experiences with my "lush experimentation" - do I sound like a crazy scientist for say that? I was sceptical about trying this face mask.. ... ...I was walking past a lush yesterday in milton keynes how I could I resists! So what is this face like? I was told by the not-as-friendly-as-they-usually-are shop assistant that it was the opposite from "oatfix" mask which was more nourishing and brazened honey was more deep cleansing and detoxifying. A quick scan of the website tells me it is made me kaolin (china clay), fresh lime juice, rosemary, juniper, fresh free range eggs, honey and 7 ayurvedic ...

Advantages: Absolutely gorgeous, skin felt lovely after Disadvantages: slight irritation
...of the face masks in Lush and having been faithful to Mask Of Magnaminty for so long I thought I would buy another one as a change. As luck would have I was given a free sample of the Brazen Honey face mask, designed to detoxify your skin when it needs refreshing a little. To help achieve this it contains fennel and juniper which are excellent detoxifiers, also some lime, and honey and almond oil to soothe skin. It also an exfoliator to rid you of ... ...It says in the Lush Times that a pot has enough for four uses, but I seem to get at least six uses out of it, and I don't feel that I skimp when I'm applying it, so maybe they are being cautious, of maybe you should use more to get the full benefit. I would be reluctant to pile it on though, as I would have to leave it on longer to dry and I'm concerned that this would irritate me even more. So probably best to just carry on as I am. Lush may be best known for their soaps and bath products, but I personally love them for their skincare items. Over the last couple of months I’ve been swapping my overly chemical-laden cleansers and toners for a regime of herbs and natural goodness, and the troublesome oily skin that I have loathed and fought for years has slowly but surely been beaten into submission. Well and truly converted, I recently decided that it might also time to trade ... ...be kept refrigerated; in the Lush shops you’ll find them displayed on ice to keep them fresh and at their best. They come in simple plastic pots with black labels, laid around metal bowls with testers of the individual products. Can’t miss ‘em.
I’d read all I could about the Bio Fresh range before entering the shop, so even though I wasn’t sure which one to go for I did have a pretty good idea of what was on offer. The main thing I was aiming to ...

...went in to my neighborhood Lush store to restock on Brazen Honey only to find out that the new shipment hadn't reached the store yet. They had run out. I was SO angry! That says it all, that's how wonderful that mask is. Actually my skin hasn't been the same since I ran out! Anyways, it doesn't dry you out. It thoroughly exfoliates all those dead skin cells (especially good for those with patchy skin), reduces blemishes and white/ blackheads, it ... ...skin surface. What more could you possibly ask for? I mean, that tiny black pot lasted me over two months, and I shared with my boyfriend! He too loved it. For just $8 bucks, it was definitely worth it and more! Note that it contains ginger and lime oils which brighten. The fact that it has juniper berry essential oils and fruit explains why it significantly reduced my blemishes. The latter, of course was an unexpected surprise as the packaging never ...

...been a long-time fan of Lush (actually since Cosmetics To Go days) and use their Mask of Magnaminty, cupcake fresh mask and brazened honey fresh mask depending on how my skin is feeling. My skin is apparently about 10 years younger than I am according to one of those machines that measure skintone etc and consequently I get oily patches, blackheads, premenstrual breakouts, dry skin in places and random itchy/soreness.
For those who are not aware ... ...while as the blurb in Lush Times says it's for skin that has been treated badly and I do try to look after my skin so I didn't think it was for me. Then I actually read a slightly different write up in another issue and realised that detoxifying fennel, soothing honey and exfoliating ground almond shells were probably exactly what my weird skin needed. I was right!

...is the 4th of the lush facemasks for me to try, it costs £6.31 and I have to say it smells a darn sighter nicer than cosmetic warrier which is so bleurrgh! The lush website says it is a mask filled with herbs, spices, fruit juice and honey, plus a few almonds thrown in to polish the skin. This mix is meant to leave the skin vibrant and glowing and great for skin that has been neglected! Ok so the mask in itself is a light yellowish colour with bits ... ...does smell of honey but there is also a bit of a spicey kick to it too. I think this would be a particulary nice mask to use in winter when it would feel quite festive and warming! It was lovely and thick to apply and felt nice when on my skin. I left it on for probably just over ten minutes and it became pretty hard and tight. It washed off easily and left my skin feeling soft and clean. Although this has the almonds to in make it a little scrubby ...

...or problem there is a Lush face mask and we all love a good one. There's nothing quite like a fresh face mask to perk up your skin and Brazened Honey does just that.
Due to it's gritty texture as well as all the benefits of a regular face mask, Brazened Honey allows your to gently exfoliate after you have left it on for the reccomended time. Plus it smells delicious too! Every time I use it (usually once every 2 weeks for a good scrub) I am left ... ...should use it by it's generally ok for a couple of days afterwards and you have the added bonus of it being in a black pot.
When you collect 5 black pots Lush now recycle them for you and you get a free fresh face mask! Addicts at the ready! ...

I have not used Lush face masks before, but decided to give this one a try. Keep it in the fridge and use it within the time stated on the tub! It is applied and then left to set for 5 - 10 minutes. During this time, the mask pretty much dries. After massaging the gritty mask with water and then removing the residue, my skin was softer than I remember it being for a long time, with a clear rosy glow. I would probably not recommend this mask for anyone ...
