    There probably isn't a Ciaoster who doesn't know the brand name Lush. Lush the company that provokes either a " I neeeeeeeeeeeeed this" or " Not another blooming Lush op" from different quarters was first set up in 1994 with a small shop in Poole Dorset making hand made cosmetic items. The brains behind Lush however have been together since the late 70's. In 1978 the team first sold products to the Body Shop. In the 80's the team started the doomed "Cosmetics to go" company.     Seeing as I probably won’t be writing any more reviews over the holidays, I thought I would go all-out in this review and evaluate all the gorgeous Christmas goodies I bought from LUSH over the last couple of weeks. Normally, I don’t like writing about products that require a lot of description about their scent because I get a bit paranoid that I write “It smells really good!” or “Blimey, it is overpowering” too much.     Disadvantages Disadvantages Without a shop near you, you'll be making excuses to visit people that have one.

    What’s the big deal I thought… so they sell soap and bath bombs and things I thought… At very steep prices I thought! Over the last few years I’ve heard lots of people, friends, family, people I’ve met on the Internet, Ciaoers, all talking about Lush as if it was something special, something important, something which no person should go without experiencing. I even went so far as to look on the Lush website a few times, and I ordered a copy of the Lush times, I still wasn’t really impressed, or convinced that this shop offered anything for me.     If you ever have gone into a Lush store you’ll know what I’m on about, aromas are flying everywhere. The first time I went in there was to buy my grandmother a (late!) birthday present. My dad and me got her a pack or about nine different miniature soaps. I can’t really remember what they were, but one of them was Red Rooster. I’m not sure if she ever actually uses them as she prefers squirty soaps, but it’s the thought that counts. For my eleventh birthday KathrynE (Kathryn Penguin as I call her) got me a lush ballistic bath bomb. She told me to write an opinion ... more

    The other day, we drove from Bristol to Bath with the express purpose of spending lots of dosh at Lush! It was only the second time I had been to the shop, but I have ordered from the website several times too. I am a big fan of the Lush range, so wanted to explain to any non-converts out there all about this wonderful place and its products. When you walk into the shop (and even before!), you are hit by a marvellous mixture of superb smells. It’s hard to define but is a heady combination of perfumes, fruity smells, herbs and spices.     Last week I visited the Lush store in London’s Covent Garden. This was not my first visit to the shop, but the first time that I actually parted with any money there. Lush is a very unique store that sells products for your face and body – it is somewhere to go to look for that ‘different’ gift or to pamper yourself - and it caters well for the men too. I think the main reason I had not bought anything before was because of the smell of the place! Now, don’t get me wrong – it smells lovely, but it’s just a little too ‘pungent’ for my nose ... more

    It was my nose that informed me about Lush years ago whilst walking around the west end of London. On following the seductive smells, I came across a fresh, bright shop where all around the walls were stacks of what appeared to be weird and wonderful lumps of cheese. On further exploration, including their downstairs, I soon realised that these products were indeed soaps, shampoos, creams, and a massive array of ‘bath ballistics’ (or exploding balls to you (?) and me!).
