    Lush Snow Fairy Shower gel You haven’t heard of Lush? I cannot imagine that anyone reading this has not heard of the lovely cosmetic/toiletry company called ‘Lush’ that started way back in the 80s as ‘Cosmetics to go’ in Poole, Dorset. They make the most wonderful smelling and exciting things for pampering and they are very keen to support Fair Trade and eco ingredients. All their products are free from nasty additives and not tested on animals.     I suppose you could say I get into the spirit of Christmas rather early. I am counting down already (56 sleeps now!), have a plan of what I am getting my family, am hoarding all the Christmas catalogues I can find and I am using up Lush special edition Christmas products like there is no tomorrow.     Lush for less I am only an occasional dabbler in Lush products as, although I do enjoy using them, I do find they can be a bit on the pricey side - and I am not a fan of some of the fragrances! But just after Christmas I picked up a gift box in the sale and I was really pleased to have the chance to try out a few goodies for less money! One of the items in my gift box was this – Snow Fairy Shower Gel. I received the 100ml bottle which sells for about £3, although I believe it's also available in larger sizes – and you can only buy it at Christmas!     Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel I really adore Lush and the products that they sell. The fact that they try to keep packaging to a minimum, make hand made products which contain fresh organic products and believe in getting all their products via ethical means, really is just an added bonus as the whole range of beauty products that they offer are wonderful! This Christmas, like every other, I ask my mother -in-law for a Lush gift.     Once upon a time there was a snow fairy. She was pink and glittery and as sweet as sugar.... I love the scent of Lush's Godmother soap (although I have yet to actually try it) and when I found out that the soap was made with the same scent as Snow Fairy shower gel - a product that comes out especially for Christmas, I really wanted to try it.     Stocking Up... On my recent (but short) trip back to the UK, I was lured into Lush again...over the last year I used my Lush things up sparingly but it was about time I stocked up on Lush goodies again to take back home with me. One item on huge pile of Lush items I managed to cram into my suitcase (alongside Twinings tea, good cheese and Quality Street) was Snow Fairy shower gel.     It must have been around Christmas 2010 when I first saw snow fairy in lush as thinking back it was that year I really started treating myself to lush goodies. There was something about snow fairy that really stood out to me despite me not smelling it or anything and so I asked for some as a present this Christmas. Snow fairy is a seasonal product which is released at lush during the festive period. The product is a shower gel which can be used for body and hair.     [Before I begin this review, I'd like to thank the four shop assistants I met in Lush, Regent Street, London where I bought items on which I'm going to write a series of reviews. They were nice, helpful and I enjoyed my visit there. I don't know their names (apart from that of David, the cashier, whose name is on the receipt!) so I can't thank them one by one but I highly recommend this shop to you]. Let's begin now!     It took me a while to try Lush's shower gels - they do seem rather expensive, after all. However, since Snow Fairy is part of the Christmas range I'm working my way through entirely, and smelled okay if a tad overpowering, let's give it a go! And yet again - I'm glad I did! As I say, one whiff of the bottle and Snow Fairy is quite overwhelming - it's a very concentrated sweet scent, and I had to assume that it'd calm down a bit diluted in use.     There was a huge promotion for the Snow Fairy products in Lush over the weekend, so I thought it would be rude not to buy something! Hence why I came home with some Snow Fairy shower gel! Fans of Lush will know that the Snow Fairy range is seasonal and comes out for the Christmas period. I think this could be perceived as annoying for some (especially if you run out of your favourite shower product!) but for me, it makes the range seem a bit special – plus it reminds me that the holidays are just around the corner!
