Whilst in Edinburgh staying with Dave (he is still working up there) recently I went into Lush in Princes Street. This is always a big treat for me as we don’t have a branch at home in Llandudno. Our nearest branch is Chester, which is quite a distance away so whenever I am near to a branch I pop in and treat myself to some goodies and why not? This time I wanted to get some hair care items and when I had made my choices I took them to the counter where the assistant told me that I could go and choose one of the free gifts which were scattered around the store as I had spent over £20. I ... more

As many of you know, I am a bit of a Lush addict, however I just haven't really had the cash or the time to browse through the products as much as I used to this year. I first tried this around a year ago, and bought it again the other week as I remembered how much I'd liked it. How It Came About If I remember rightly, the Lush Sugar Scrub is about one year old right now. You know the hit BBC1 show The Apprentice, with Alan Sugar? You do - the one where candidates compete for a job to work for Alan Sugar and have to undergo a load of tasks to win, yep, that one. Well, in 2009 for one episode ... more

Sugar Scrub If you have been living on a secluded island and not read any reviews on Dooyoo or Ciao for years then you may not have heard of the wonderful cosmetic company called Lush. Lush make their products with as many fresh natural products as possible using little or no preservatives. They source their ingredients from countries where the environment is not damaged by the production of the ingredients. The ingredients used are vegetarian and none are tested on animals. There is always a date on all their products telling when they were made and often who made them as well. I bought this ... more

When I was taken on a day out in London recently I found myself practically falling in to Lush at Covent Garden thanks to my wonderful iPhone and it’s simply & easy directions. My first impression was that the shop was tiny but once I was drawn downstairs there were lots of bright, friendly, bubbly staff there just waiting to try out lots of wonderful Lush products on me. One of the products that was used on me was the Lush Sugar Scrub and I instantly felt my skin being cleansed and scrubbed clean of all the harsh London dirt. I was indeed very impressed with the impromptu massage that I ... more

Sugar Scrub is the second of Lush's solid body scrubs I have tried. The first one was Sugar Babe, and if anyone read my review on that product, they will know that I was less than impressed! The product left deep scratches on my arms and I was upset to the point I actually complained to Lush. They sent me an apology and some freebies and also said that they thought the problem was probably down to a fault with that particular batch (Lush products are all handmade if you're not aware). Even so, I can't say that I was keen to try another one! So, what changed my mind? Well I bought a Lush ... more

Lush Sugar Scrub: On the way to catch a coach from Bristol to York, (a huge deal for me as I have agoraphobia), I decided to nip into Lush as I never usually go to town and I thought it would calm me down before my long coach journey. We had put quite a bit of money aside for the trip and the various bits we would need so I decided to have a little splurge! The assistant was a perfect example of why I love Lush; she was bubbly, enthusiastic and really friendly. I am not stupid and know that they are trying to sell you things but I like the attention and the atmosphere in Lush stores. I also ... more

I got one of these inside a Freshers' Box I purchased a while back and was quite intrigued. I had seen them before but was unsure how to use it (as I often am with a lot of Lush products!), so had never got around to buying one. However it looked interesting and smelled nice (very fresh), so I decided to give it a try. Apparently the scrub contains lavender to soothe, and fennel and ginger to soften and revive (which is what I could smell). After reading around on the Internet for hints and tips, I chopped up the scrub into a few pieces and only took one into the shower with me. I also put it ... more

I used this as I often use fake tan and needed something a lot stronger than usually exfoliators to get rid of the dry skin often left by the skin drying DHA in fake tans. After nothing really working properly and always being patchy a few days after using fake tan, I tried one of Lush's sugar scrubs, being a huge fan of their products. Although the product feels solid, it crumbles and softens in warm water. It feels rough against the skin at first, as a good exfoliator should do in my personal opinion, but days after I thought I'd got rid of all my tan, more dry skin was coming off with tan ... more

After hearing from a Lush sales assistant that these were good for cellulite I knew that I had to try them! They are quite big in size, similar to the size of the ballistics and I think you would get roughly 3 uses out of them. Price wise they cost £2.50 so i think are okay priced if you compare them to the ballistics for example. When I first picked up the sugar scrub it does indeed feel very course and scrubby. It is not overtly scented but smells fresh like the outdoors and is actually really lovely. The Lush website says that it "stimulates activity where there was once sluggishness, and ... more
