Staff will also advise on which colours suit your complexion, as well as a variety of other services (such as finding the perfect foundation for your skin tone). However if you take advange of the back to Mac system (whereby you collect 6 glass/plastic mac empties and turn the in for a free lipstick) then you're in heaven! ...I took them back to MAC to be recycled. I got a lipstick free but this time, I got beige/nude (Blankety) and in a different finish. Again, my lipstick lasted hours at a time.
I have finally fell in love with lipsticks like most women do. MAC not only have a wide colour and finish range, but create lipsticks that last all day. Also, my lips never tried out - despite not using the lipstick primer that I was advised to use to prevent drying lips.

I love MAC lipsticks! I fist discovered them about 4 years ago and haven't looked back since! I do still use other brands like Dior, Lancome, Clinique and Urban Decay, but when I want a nice, vibrant lippy that will stay put, I always go for my MAC!
I own about 30 odd MAC lipsticks and my shades vary from nude, to pinks, purples, reds and the odd blue. I love to experiment with different looks and MAC definitely helps me to achieve that! I often ... ...with the lip glosses that MAC sells, or any other lip gloss really. I always keep a tube of the clear lip gloss handy as it adds a beautiful shine to the lipstick to give it some variation, or I even like to layer on a complimenting or different shade of lipglass to give it more depth and dimension.

MAC lipsticks cost £11 each.
They come in deep grey coloured plastic bullet shaped tubes (7 1/2 cm long and 1 1/2 cm across) with tiny specks of silver glitter embedded in the plastic. In the centre, is a band of silver which goes around the tube, and the MAC logo is written above the band, in silver. The lipsticks are the usual twist up design.

I think that MAC lipstick is the best. I comes in so many colours from pink to black in a variety of textures - sheer, matte, shine and frost. My fav "Bardot" is a great everyday colour - a wearable pink that stays on for ages. It is quite matte though so it stays on longer. It also tastes yummy! Although MAC lippys cost £10 they are well worth it. They are longlasting and the tube lasts a long time.

...slightly more expensive range of MAC lipsticks, however when you think that 100 percent of the sales directly benefit the M·A·C AIDS Fund then you are happy to pay a bit more.
The charity lipstick range is currently available in 5 colours: Viva Glam I, II, III, IV & V.
I particularly like Viva Glam IV. This is a dark raspberry shade which would suit medium to darker skin tones.
I think it is important to get the shade right when choosing a lipstick ... ...top.
I also think MAC have it right in that they recycle their packaging. All you have to do is collect 6 of their plastic cases (lipsticks, eyeshadows etc.) and take them to the MAC counter. Not only are these sent for recycling you can choose a free lipstick for your trouble (not from the Viva Glam range though).

Absolutely amazing colours....loads to choose from!
Very good smell and taste and not that expensive really.I think it would be good if they all had individual tastes..But they are fine the way they are not anyway...I have paid more money for others that were not as good as these.And these last for a long time too...so you don't have to reapply it every now and then..They kind of stain the lips and the "after" colour is really good.

I bought the Mac Lustre range lipstick in Retrodaze. It is a very girly light glittery pink. It comes in a small metallic 'container' that looks quite unique.
The actual lipstick does not look particularly sparkly until you put it on. It is very smooth to apply and does not appear cracked and dry like many other lipstick. It looks more like lip gloss and in a way is better than lip gloss on a windy day when your hair tends to stick to wet gloss.
... ...especially if you wear darker eye shadow. It also looks very summery and natural if you have tanned skin.
The range of colours is amazing, and it is difficult to pick as each one is so beautiful.
The lipstick has to be reapplied every couple of hours, especially if you are drinking and eating!
In general, I would reccommend it to everybody who feels that the normal range of colours isn't enough. ...

I absolutely love MAC lippys and this one is one of my fav colours.
MAC's Shrimpton lippy is peachy pink, shrimp coloured! It comes in a chunky futuristic silver case that looks brilliant. The lippy is a lovely colour that stays on all day as its very matte. The lipstick lasts age as you only have to use a little of it. The colour suits any skin tone and instantly brightens up your face. Although it is matte, it doesn't really dry out your lips ...
