    Advantages Advantages Lasts all day after application and has so many colours and finishes to choose from.

    MAC LIPSTICKS When I heard rumours that Ruby and Millie were no longer having a display of their make-up products in major Boots stores earlier this year, I was somewhat disappointed. I had made use of the Boots £5 offer so many times over the years to purchase my favourite lipstick shade from their collection, which sadly was no longer to be stocked.     Product The case is like most lipstick with a twist function to it but the case looks and feels a lot sturdier than most lipsticks I have owned. The case is a good size to sit comfortably in your hand and make application quick and comfy. My love affair started when my sister in law purchased me one for my birthday a few years back and since then I have purchased three myself as I fell in love instantly.     Disadvantages Disadvantages Dislike the frost texture, some aren't very long lasting, some can be drying

    When it comes to makeup, lipstick has to top the list as my must-have item. I have annoyingly pale lips which look odd against my slightly lighter than olive skin so I need a bit of colour on them to perk up my complexion. My makeup collection consists of lots of lipsticks and generally speaking, MAC is my go-to brand, due to their vast colour collection and the variety of finishes that they offer. Although Maxfactor's tagline is "The Makeup of Makeup Artists", it would really be better applied to MAC, as I've yet to come across a Makeup Artist who doesn't rave about the range and have a box ... more

    Like most girls, I love make up. However, I don't always feel comfortable paying out for higher end brands. Eventually though I decided it was time to shell out for some MAC products - apparently I had no idea what I was missing, so I let my curiosity rule and placed my first order.     If you have ever been to a Mac counter in a department store you will notice the large collection of lipstick shades Mac has to offer, you will also notice that Mac gives you the opportunity to choose which finish you prefer for example: matte, glaze and amplified which all have different textures and gives you the opportunity to choose which kind of texture and finish you want.     I've been trying to find the perfect pink lipstick for a while now, and after looking on MACs UK website (www.maccosmetics.co.uk) I came across this lipstick (found under Products then Lips, then Lipstick). I'm not a fan of buying make up without seeing or testing it so I went to my nearest MAC store which is in Liverpool's Met Quarter. The staff were extremely helpful and very quick to help me. Staff will also advise on which colours suit your complexion, as well as a variety of other services (such as finding the perfect foundation for your skin tone).     Again, I just have to say how much I adore the full range of mac products. They are all so wonderfully pigmented, and make use of the best ingredients. PRICING AND PACKAGING/INGREDIENTS Mac lipsticks cost a somewhat pricey some of £11. However if you take advange of the back to Mac system (whereby you collect 6 glass/plastic mac empties and turn the in for a free lipstick) then you're in heaven!     This review is about MAC lipsticks in general, not any particular shade or type. I am a pretty new member of the MAC club. I have always known about it through guru's on youtube and girls on blogs mentioning about the company, but until this past year, I hadn't really tried anything of MAC's. MAC is a professional makeup company know world wide and have counters in shops such as debenhams (not all) and also in some places have their own proper shop.     MAC Lipsticks are a must have for anyone! They all provide a good amount of colour and they last a good amount of time! The Mac lipsticks have different finishes: Lustre: Good pigmentation and a very nice sheen. I think it gives enough colour and stays very well on your lips. Very nice product, not too heavy colour. Achieve a lipgloss effect look, but not as sheer as a gloss would be. Frost: I think it is very pigmented, has no sheen to it, doesn't have the overall glossy look. Excellent colour payoff!     MAC themselves admit that their lipsticks are "What Made Them Famous" and I wholeheartedly agree. Besides the huge range of colours and finishes available, it was in 1994 when they released 'Viva Glam' a deep red shade, whose entire selling prices was donated to Men, Woman and Children living with AIDS that people started to sit up and notice the brand. They now have a total of six charity shades, and I'm sure this is part of the reason they have grown to become such a cult name.
