REASONS FOR CHOOSING AN MFI KITCHEN:
The time had finally come for our kitchen to receive the makeover that was long overdue. For many reasons we had put off this rather large and daunting task. We had inherited the cooker in an awkward place and to move it would inevitably mean that the whole of the kitchen would need to be re-designed, which in turn meant moving the radiator, the dishwasher and the washing machine. New ceiling lights were needed ...

Advantages: Decent prices, good selection, always willing to offer a deal if you ask Disadvantages: poor delivery, no quality control
...planning to buy something from MFI I would suggest you print it out and take it to bed with you, better still, if you are planning on spending a lot of money there I would suggest you dictate it into a tape recorder and play it on repeat while you sleep, this is how MFI works from chipboard to showroom. Remember the cost cutting points at the bottom and you will save 5-30% of the cost of your order, and when you do, please remember me…in the form ...

Advantages: good range of products Disadvantages: bad customer service, terrible delivery
Our recent experience with MFI has been a stressful disaster from start to finish. I have always known good things about MFI for their products and service until now. Having had a kitchen from MFI for over 18years gave me the confidence that nothing could possibly go wrong.
MFI is a brand recognised by everyone, 'a UK's leading national retailer of quality fitted furniture' . They are a store where you can see the items on display, try, touch and ...

...days and I wonder if MFI need to take account of this. The more you order, the longer it takes.
OK so to the construction of the furniture. I have to say, this went up without any hitches and we are left with some very substantial beroom furniture. All the relevant bits were there, in fact we had a few odds and ends that were spare. At the very least, if you can't make the furniture up in the 3 days after delivery, unpack it all and check that ...

Advantages: The quality of their merchandise is much better than in the old days. Disadvantages: Customer service. Oh Dear, although not strictly MFI's fault.
...our sparkly new bathroom and MFI was suggested. I didn't even know that they did bathrooms to be honest but we thought it would be worth a look. So off we went to our local showroom to inspect their wares.
On arrival at their out of town showroom we were pleased to be able to park virtually right outside the door. Bright signs promising sale prices and large discounts greeted us and encouraged us to hurry in.
A bright airy showroom pulled us in ...

...and decided to visit the MFI sale.
We were impressed with the wide range of products in the store. The prices were very keen too - we chose two wardrobes, a chest of drawers and two bedside cabinets. The total cost of all these flat-pack items was £175.00! An excellent price for all of these items of furniture.
The only problem was that the two bedside cabinets were not in stock. We were told that we could have these delivered free of charge ...

...started saying nice things about MFI as well. So off we went to Aberdeen and had a look round. I pulled and prodded and kicked the built in display wardrobes and they seemed strong enough. We then went looking for a salesperson – to their eternal credit they don’t descend on you as soon as you enter. We got a nice computer image of what our bedroom would look like with new wardrobes, a plan and a price and that was that. No sales hassle ...

We never really gave MFI a thought until today, but as we were passing we popped in. It was easy to park and the spaces were not too close together. The first thing that hit me about the store itself was the air conditioning – a welcome relief in this hot weather. The shop was not crowded by any stretch of the imagination and this was lunchtime on a bank holiday. There were big signs up saying that today you could get an extra ...

...adverts saying that prices at MFI were slashed only for the duration of the Bank Holiday weekend. The MFI salesman literally screamed the offers on the adverts and you felt like turning the TV off.
In the 1970s we read the News of the World regularly. Often MFI would take out full-page adverts literally begging the public to visit the nearest store.
Even at that age I felt that the advertising was tacky. I remember vowing to myself that when ...

I recently bought an MFI bathroom suite (toilet, sink, bath and shower). After placing my order I received a text message thanking me for choosing MFI and informing me of the contact details if I had a problem.
About a week before my delivery I received an information pack informing me of the delivery procedure, to my suprise the pack also included a yellow balloon. On reading the information further I discovered that the balloon needed to be ...

'Kitchen designer' Ivan looked like an over weight Max Clifford, he sweated profusely and spoke with contrived sincerity, "I can design you the kitchen of your dreams at a price you'll ...

Our Local MFI in Chester was so busy on Bank Holiday Sunday that afer standing around for a few minutes a gentleman approached us and asked if we would like to make an appointment for the Monday so that we weren't left hanging around to long (especially with a three year old - not very amusing for her!).
So back we went on the Monday for 11am and saw a really helpful guy that had us sitting down in front of a very impressive ...

However, when a friend said that they’d only ever have MFI to install their kitchens (they move every other year!), I decided to pay the Cambridge MFI a visit.
The Store had been recently renewed (moved), and when we entered the store we were amazed. It was completely different ...

...brought many a bargain from MFI but I never learnt.
I have had to take back pieces that were damaged, pieces that never had the pre drilled holes, and even the packet of fittings that were not even for that item.
I have to say that a child could not put these pieces of furniture together. For a start, much of the pieces are much too heavy, and I have struggled many times to screw in a screw that just continues to turn or will not go in completely ...
