Advantages: Lightweight, good value for money, funky design, reliable Disadvantages: Stupid brakes but you do get used to it
...Christmas shopping. I have loved Maclaren buggies for a while, and my partner finally decided that we could get one. I settled on a Triumph, one of the smallest buggies in the Maclaren range, and I am so thrilled with it, I thought I would write a little review on it!
Maclaren are probably one of the most well known lightweight pushchair manufacturers. They are most famous for their umbrella-folding buggies which you will mums all over the UK pushing ... ...needs available from them. Maclaren began in 1965 and have become bigger and better since then, and are now stocked all over the world.
Now, as I said, the Maclaren Triumph is one of the smallest buggies in the Maclaren range, only the Volo is smaller than this one. One of the main features that I like is its basic weight is only 5kg (11 lbs) which is tiny compared to some of the other buggies around. I can easily lift this with just one hand, and ...

Advantages: Light and easy to carry, easy to push, lots of accessories included in the price. Disadvantages: A bit flimsy, brake is rubbish
We're off on holiday soon. With 2 children a buggy is a necessity as Murray is only 19 months and still naps during the day and we also can't expect him to walk as far as us and his sister. We used to have a McLaren daytripper but for some reason every time I put Murray in it he screamed. We happened to be in Mothercare one day when we spotted the McLaren Triumph. It was available in a Charcoal colour which wasn't appealing or a pillar box red which ... ...and hard about this buggy because it was £70.
As chance would have it my sister in law happened to purchase a triumph and one day while we were out, I asked to push it. My nephew is a big 2 year old and is quite heavy compared to lightweight Murray. But the buggy was still quite light to push. It also has these funny handles which are sort of twisted in and face each other with foam on them. These I had been a bit iffy about because of the fact ...

...I needed. I knew Maclaren was a good make and had been around for years so they must be doing something right if their buggies are still selling really well. They have 5 designs for stroller out at present depending on what you need. I didn't need their first two as that goes down to 0 months and I could not have their last one as that does not lie down and as she still has naps during the down I needed one that still reclines. This left me with ... ...the wheels with the word Maclaren across it. Most the time my daughter has her feet on it but occasionally as the seat is low she will put her feet on the wheels or the most irrating thing especial if she has new shoes on she puts her feet behind the foot rest and drags her toes across the floor, so do be warned and watch out. This is also easy to clean just a quick wipe over with a cloth.
You have got to carry the baby, the shopping and the buggy ...

...car.
We chose the Maclaren rather on a whim. It was fairly inexpensive (approx £70), was lightweight and seemed easy to put up and down. I am really pleased we chose it.
The Triumph comes in a charcoal shade and quite a bright red. It is not a designer stroller but does look quite smart.
At approx 11lbs, this is a really light weight pram. It comes with a strap along the back so that you can collapse it and hang the whole thing over your shoulder ... ...to help you.
The Maclaren is really easy to collapse, just lift two bars and push the handles forward. It is sold as a one handed model but I have always needed to use two. Maybe I have just not found the knack! It is really easy to put up. Undo the stow away clip and then just shake it out and lock in place with your foot. The handles are padded and bend slightly inwards. This looks a bit odd but actually makes the Maclaren really easy to push ...

Advantages: lightweight, easy to move, great on public transport, good choice of colours Disadvantages: brakes very difficult to use, poor support from seat
As a replacement stroller this pushchair has served its purpose. It is very easy to use with an increasingly heavy toddler. i brought this pushchair because it was light. As a city dweller who is very reliant on public transport I appreciate how easy it is to get around with this pushchair. It' s small enough to comfortably fit on a bus with a child in and not get in the way of other passengers unlike some of the bulkier travel systems, and is also ... ...a small child, something that is not always easier for slight woman of 5'3". The handy strap on the back is a good plus point.
I have a nineteen month gap between my children and am now beginning to use the triumph with a buggy board almost as much as my double buggy. I do miss having a sturdier stroller for regular use with a smaller child and wouldn't recomend this one for younger babies despite Maclaren's age rating. Their is very little support ...

Advantages: Lightweight and perfect for travelling Disadvantages: Small shopping basket and brakes aren't great.
...pushchairs we settled on the Maclaren Triumph. We got it at a reduced price as it was last seasons style even though it was brand new. We used it in England several times before going away and found it very useful indeed. For £50 we got the buggy with a shopping bag attached and a rain cover. The buggy weighs just 5.5kg and also has a handy carry strap. The rain cover is so simple to attach and we always carry it in the shopping bag for convenience. ... ...only hold a small amount of items, so in the end we used it to carry basic baby essentials and nothing else. The Triumph folds away fairly easily with 2 mechanisms on the back of it which you use your foot to press down. One major problem is the brakes - they aren't fantastic and take a while to work out. A great feature though is the washable seat and hood - making it easy to clean after it has been through baggage claim!

when my daughter started sitting up i decided it was time to get a buggy that wasnt as bulky as her pram and something that was going to be a little more convenient for me and this is the one i chose.
i think that they are reasonably priced so thats the best place to start, secondly they come in several colours to choose from as well.
anyway this buggy is easy to assemble and then fold back down, once you have done it once anyway, like most things ... ...much easier. it also comes with a shoulder strap for easy carrying once it is folded up which is extremely usefull if you dont live on the ground floor like me.
this buggy also comes with a rain cover which is so easy to just pop on unlike other makes, it just hooks over the hood and then you clip it on, saves your child from getting wet in those un expected showers
the only disadvantages to this buggy are that the brakes arent the easies to use ...

Advantages: Small, lightweight, carry handle Disadvantages: Rubbish brake, no suspension
I bought this buggy when I was flying abroad and I didn't want to take my expensive buggy for the baggage handlers to trash. I paid £70 for it and it came complete with a raincover. It did the job of being a fairly cheap lightweight buggy which has a recline so my daughter could still sleep fairly comfortably. When we went to Florence I did wish I had bought something with suspension because the cobbled streets nearly gave my little girl shaken baby ... ...as well which wasn't to nice for me either. The brake is also difficult to get on and I find I have to bend down to engage it with my hand to ensure that it is on properly otherwise you can't trust it so what's the point?
You can just about fit the bare essentials in the shopping basket if you don't actually put them in a bag. Apart from the carry handle (which was handy when we stayed in a 3rd floor apartment) the buggy doesn't have any extras ...

Advantages: Lighweight & compact! Disadvantages: Not many reclining positions!
I bought the Maclaren Triumph stroller as a lightweight, more convenient method of transport for my little boy. I felt that there was no longer a need to take the travel system pram everywhere, and the Maclaren Triumph turned out to be the perfect replacement.
The Triumph is very lightweight and compact, and even comes with a shoulder strap so that you can close it up and sling it over your shoulder when not in use ... that's how lightweight it ... ...have big feet.
The Maclaren Triumph does have a couple of faults though in my opinion. The seating position only has 2 different positions, upright and reclined, and even the reclined position is fairly upright. Also the stroller has toppled over on a few occasions, when unoccupied, due to the weight of a pram bag attached to the handles.
Apart from these flaws, the Maclaren triumph has been a great buy. Easy, lightweight and compact, and does ...

Advantages: Colourful, smooth to push, not too expensive Disadvantages: not upright enough, awkward brakes
My son is 15 months old and this is our 4th buggy (number 1 was too big, number 2 was too short with fixed wheels, number 3 was dull and rattley ... number 4 is the Maclaren)!
I love the bright colours (ours is insignia and allure) and the sun canopy/hood is great as my son tends to bend any attached parasol. It is comfortable and smooth to push and the foam handles are really comfy in your hand.
A big plus is that it folds down so compact that ... ...shelf in place. It is easy to fold up using only one hand and comes with a carry hanle attached.
The rain cover is nice and small and easily folded up to store in the small basket underneath. It is easy to attach to the buggy when it starts to rain but it is a little tight at the bottom and stops short of my son's feet so in bad weather he would have really wet feet! He also likes to kick the raincover so I feel it is only a matter of time before ...

...people i know had used Maclaren in the past.
the price was more than other brands, but i managed to find it on promotion so it wasn't too bad. I paid £56 instead of £70.
It looked really lightweight and it took me a while to get used to as my Pram was really heavy.
The wheels felt every bump which was annoying (my Pram had rubber Tyres) but we soon got used to them by making a game out of going over bumps in the path.
The material got dirty very ... ...the sun faded the hood, and instead of black it now looks a funny shade of deep red.
I live about 1.5 miles form town, so i had to buy in bulk when i went as it was quite a hilly walk. If I loaded the pushcahir up and also used the basket it became very heavy and tipped over if I let go of it, which makes it very difficult if you are browsing the shops.
It also squeak! On the back wheels. My son is 2.5 and it has squeaked for about a year, 6 months ...

After shopping around for my first sons buggy and making the costly mistake of buying two buggies that just wouldnt streer, i decided this time round i would buy a buggy i didnt have to fight with everytime i went out. After many hours of road testing this buggy came out top. Its very easy to use and folds easily, my son is quite a large toddler and doesnt look out of place in it. The hood can be just wiped over with a damp cloth and both seat and hood come up like new. I have had mine 18 mths and apart from the wheels it looks like new. Advantages: Very light and compact, quite sturdy, very portable Disadvantages: Difficult to clean, small basket, falls over
I live in one of the smallest houses in the world and with a one year old son and all the things he needs I had to find a small buggy to fit in!
I'd heard good things about the McClaren Truimph and after at least an afternoon in Mothercare and Babies R Us decided to buy one. The buggy ( a very snazzy red) was about £50 - on special offer, which was great as it seemed a great deal more sturdy than some of the others.
Plus points are the fact it ... ...get used to it (mother-in-law still struggles!). A clip holds the buggy closed and there is a handle which allows you to carry it over your shoulder. It comes with a detachable hood which clips off easily and it has a fitted harness system, which anchors down any errant child. It nips round corners easily and has great handles - foam padded and positioned perfectly to grip. It has two seat positions - the recline is released by a straightforward ...

Advantages: Easy to fold up Disadvantages: Dodgy brakes
...of good reports about the MacLaren pram, so decided to go for this one.
I first noticed how light it was compared to the big bulky pram I used to have. It is also easy to fold - if I am going out in a car and need to put it in a boot, it's a great pram for folding.
My son is past the daytime sleep stage now, but when he did need a sleep, the pram can be reclined back so that baby can sleep. There is a hooded bit on the top, which I find handy if ... ...my son won't keep the rain cover on. The only thing I have never been able to use on the pram is the brakes - I have to hold the pram if I am on a bus with him.
The pram cost about £120, that included rain cover, foot muff, cosytoes, so I found it a really good for value pram as my son is walking about more with me now, so we hardly need it - we had about 3 years out of it. ...
