Macleans Fresh Mint

....and yes it is only a toothpaste! While waiting for Ciao to put on the product for my latest opinion I thought I would fill the void with another piece about a product that we all know about. For all of my life I have used Macleans Freshmint toothpaste, the sole reason is that it's what my mum always bought! Now that I have to buy my own toothpaste, I still make it Macleans. I may be quite biased in this review, because Macleans is the only toothpaste that I ever use, but if you want to take a look inside my mouth, you will see that this toothpaste is an excellent product...no fillings, and perfect sparkling teeth! It's not trendy, it's boring white colour and my parents use it but guess what... it works. Surely that's the ultimate requirement for anything we buy. The main thing that I love is the fact that there are no gritty bits in the paste - it's just smooth and white. It doesn't make my mouth feel funny like the Macleans Whitening Toothpaste (foul!). As a smoker, I'm aware of having offensive breath and probably brush at least 4 or 5 times a day. Macleans toothpaste does the job of cleaning teeth without the need for fancy extras or pretty stripes. It effectively fights plaque acids that cause decay and strenghtens tooth enamel for strong healthy teeth. Its white paste has a fresh minty taste and leaves you with minty fresh breath and clean, plaque free gleaming teeth. I used to have problems with my teeth and gums all the time and everytime i went to the dentist i had to have a filling,but i was out shopping when the new Macleans Fresh Mint caught my eye. It wasnt just the minty taste i was after it was the so called protection you were supposed to get and the fact that it was supposed to protect your teeth and gums.All i know is that i used to get toothache at least once a year or some gum infection but since ive used Macleans Fresh Mint for the last two years i havent. No I am not writing about a Chablis or a Muscadet, we are talking toothpaste here. Our family have tried many different brands but we keep returning to our family favourite, Macleans Freshmint. This product comes in 100ml blue pump action dispenser and I know that it is also available in the more traditional squeezy tube. The actual paste is white and has a seriously minty aroma, which I guess is part of the attraction for me. This toothpaste seems to work too, in that it cleans teeth effectively but best of all it leaves your breathe feeling much better than before you started. Of course ... more

I have been using this product for the last 4 years and during this time my visits to the dentist have become less frequent. This product is not only marvellous but also very good value for money in comparison to other brands which are costly and dont give good results. I highly reccomend this product the improvements this company have made to their product has been well researched, dentist have often remarked that my teeth are in good condition and I put this down to using this product.
