...is it I like about Macleans in general?
A few years ago McLean’s brought out a brand new Whitening toothpaste that claimed to use a stain prevention chemical system which restores the natural whiteness of your teeth along with killing bacteria which incidentally has also been proven by watchdog tests. And Macleans are also accredited by the British Dental Association. So does it work?
Craig and I have been on/off smokers for years now (although ... ...a whitening effect and yes Macleans Whitening is one of them yeay!
So what about the taste?
Following application of a small pea amount of the blue gel onto my toothbrush I found it to taste minty and very refreshing, it does leave a tingly feeling following brushing but not too overpowering just enough to remind you of a fresh clean nice tasting mouth and possibly even your breath, leaving an overall hygienic dentist feeling. So how long does ...

...and a frequent user of Macleans whitening toothpaste,I do have a bit to say about the product and it's good and(bad) sides.
Positive:
1 It's an excellent toothpaste, which unlike strong mint or baking soda toothpastes, tastes gentle and mild.
2. It helps to restore natural whiteness which is different to bleaching. The effects of bleaching may not always result in the elegant "natural" whiteness.Your teeth might look too white and can be sensitive ... ...or simply stains. When I used Macleans 3-4 times a day ,my teeth looked rather whiter. But of course you have to maintain using it.
3 It gently removes tough stains: Things like coffee, wine, smoking do cause teeth staining,or sometimes if you use some mouthwashes like corsodyl or chlorexidine too often, they can cause teeth staining.Macleans whitening toothpaste does help remove the stains,in my case it was mainly coffee stains.
4 As on the tube,it ...

...best cleaning abilities it is Macleans Whitening. In my eyes it won hands down, this has also been confirmed in the back of my mind with watchdog tests revealing the same thing. So why Macleans Whitening? Cleaning:
I find the cleaning ability consistent, after brushing my teeth they appear noticeable cleaner and of a lighter shade while not being too abrasive against the enamel. After a few months of using the same toothpaste I found a sustained ... ...not cleaned the teeth properly. Macleans Whitening seems to strike that hygienically clean feel balance. Cost:
For a brand it is very competitively priced especially compared to Pearl Drops or Boots Whitening system. Longevity:

...If you use Macleans Whitening toothpaste it won’t be long before you see the results and it’s only when you don’t use it and replace do you realise just how good Macleans Whitening toothpaste is. I also recommend this toothpaste for anyone who smokes since it will keep you teeth whiter. I know a few of my friends who smoke who have yellow teeth but I haven’t told them how ‘ugly’ their teeth look. Maybe I should?

...too; I am referring to Macleans whitening of course.
When I first bought this toothpaste from the shop, I nearly fell over at the price of it, £3.49 if my memory serves me rightly, all I thought was it had better work, and lo and behold it did! And well. I like to drink black coffee and occasionally red wine, (That sounds like a TV commercial doesn’t it?) a guaranteed tooth discolourer, so I needed a paste that would bring the whiteness back ... ...toothpaste is a rarity, so that’s another plus point, it does all the usually things like – helps prevent cavities, fights tartar and all that other stuff. So for me Macleans whitening is an all round winner!
Shame about the cost though, but then what price vanity?

...would like to say though, Macleans Whitening is excellent for removing tea, coffee, tobacco stains. Advantages: Cleans well, nice taste, cheaply priced, leaves no residue Disadvantages: Cant say I found any!
After trying several different toothpaste products, in the hope of whitening my smoke n coffee stained teeth, some at very costly prices, I tried the relatively cheap Mclean's Whitening Toothpaste, after reading about it in a magazine as being 'the best'.

Advantages: whiter teeth, visible results. Disadvantages: Too frothy
I started using macleans whitening toothpaste after trying out most others available on the market. It is not so harsh in flavouring, cleans really well, obviously killing off bacteria as breath is fresher for hours. It is also quite mild on the tooth enamel, not at all abrasive as some whiteners prove to be. Good all round product, well priced in comparison to other known brands on the supermarket shelves.
A must on the shopping list, easily spottable, ... ...in the froth department it is heading the race, but apart from that I cannot find anything more to criticise about it.
