Advantages: Really easy to use, quick and clean. Great tasting coffee every time. Disadvantages: Friends insisting on having coffee every time they call round!
...he was using was the Magimix M150. The coffee tasted really good and compared to having to grind my beans then put them through my old Krups 'standard' espresso machine, this process was much cleaner and quicker and seemed to give much better results.
I finally justified the £110 asking price and bought the machine nearly 18 months ago. Since then I haven't regretted the purchase at all.
Here are some Nespresso facts! You need to use the 'capsules' ... ...These are available on-line for 23p each (for the 8 or so standard flavours) and 25p for the one-off special ones. The capsules are all for espresso style coffee (not the new Latte style ones) but vary in taste and strength from Ristretto (10) to Cosi (2). The on-line ordering process is easy, the delivery is quick and I think that 23p for a perfect morning espresso is cheap compared to the high street coffee chains.
The M150 comes with a milk frothing ...

Advantages: It will save your life. Disadvantages: Bit expensive
It was about a year ago now that I bought this coffee machine. It is my favourite device.
Its 19bar (thats the top for espresso machines)
It has a steamer and espresso nosel
A drip tray
A cup heater
A big water container
Comes with 2 cups and 40 coffees.
As you can see above it puts the water through the coffee grinds at 19 times atmospheric pressure, this is the highest value you can get in espresso machines and it shows in the taste. Which ... ...never burnt a single bean and has always taken all of the taste out to produce a fantastically strong and rich espresso.
The system itself is excellent also, in traditional coffee machines you grind your coffee finely and place it in the handle, then pump the water through. This produces equally good coffee but is very messy to clean up and sometimes leaves grinds in the coffee. The Nescafe system is quite different, the coffee comes in pods (there ...

Advantages: Easy to use, no mess of grinds, great selection of blends and roasts Disadvantages: Steamer / frother not powerful enough to properly froth the milk
I have had 2 of theses machines now.
The first machine decided to stop working, later to be told there was a problem with the pump.
I am very impressed by the build quality and espresso capability. The espresso and crema produced is of a good quality and consistent. The pods are not too expensive, about £18 delivered for approx 200, works out at 9p a shot. I am very impressed with the range of roasts available, enough of a range to suit every taste, ... ...The machine is easy to use and very clean compared to others where you might have a problem with grinds and coffee flying everywhere!
The only major drawback in my opinion is the frother, i would say an asthmatic could froth it better (no offence, i am an asthma sufferer).
I love cappuccino's but no matter how I've tried to froth the milk it just doesn't expand, there doesn't seem to be enough pressure to do it. It is a 18 bar machine but you can ...

Advantages: great taste and excellent crema, low maintenance and solid build Disadvantages: cost per cup
Recently received the Magimix Nespresso M150 from my wedding list. Am impressed with the taste from the nespresso pods, the richness of the crema produced by the M150 and the ease of use. However the nespresso pods are expensive at 23p a go, and only available from the manufacturer online. The machine starts quickly and produces an excellent expresso within a minute. The one drawback is that unless you have warmed the express head and cup before ...
