    Advantages Advantages runs off a battery or mains, you can plug your mp3 player into it

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Doesn't charge the batterys, no cd player

    I bought this Makita radio about 2 months ago as I needed a heavy duty radio for work it has defiantly lived up to my expectations as its certainly heavy duty strong and robust whilst being pretty compact and portable with its soft grip handle and rubber surrounds to keep it from getting knocked around you can tell its another well built bit of kit from Makita its got a great sound really punchy with plenty of base considering it has only 2 small speakers it will really rock your work place! it also has a connection to plug your mp3 player etc into the unit and pump out your music that way ... more

    Advantages Advantages light, durable, cheap, good sound quality

    When i first purchased this radio it was mainly due to the brand...i own many items which are Makita and i know that they are very reliable and durable for site work. I work on sites most of the time and i have never had a better radio. the sound quality is excellent..i was sceptical at first believing that a portable radio would not be so good but i was very wrong. i have had this for little over a month and it is a god send...a battery lasts for around 1 week which i think is excellent. the radio itself is very small and compact..when you see the picture it seems quite heavy and bulky but ... more

    Advantages Advantages excellent sound and volume quality - very tough - Mp3 & Iphone port

    Disadvantages Disadvantages arial is its weakest point it would appear.

    I think this is the best and strongest portable workmans RADIO you can buy. one of my best buys * strong and tough * runs of most Makita bateries * last for ages * charges most Makita bateries as well * great sound quality * high volume * digital display * auxilary port for Mp3 or Ipod I have had my Makita BMR 100 for a while now and its never let me down It gets thrown in my van, tied to the scafold and even been used as a hop up!
