My trendy baby to toddler carriage.

Advantages: Attractive, compact when folded, easy to steer, comfy, practical.
Disadvantages: Expensive, basket too flimsy.

...to follow. About Mamas & Papas: ================== The company was founded by David & Luisa Scacchetti, just over 25 years ago. According to their website, they are one of the UK's leading retailers in the nursery industry with products ranging from nursery interiors, travel systems, kitchen and bathroom equipment to toys, baby and maternity wear. In my opinion, they are overall a high quality nursery product provider, with excellent customer ...

Pliko P3 is fit for purpose

Advantages: Good price, does birth to 3, folds up easily-ish, can attach car seat
Disadvantages: Bit heavy, hard to push one handed,

I bought the Pliko P3 as I like the idea of the Viaggo car seat being able to clip straight onto it, but after that stage being left with a perfectly useful umbrella folding one-hand one foot see your toddler right through sort of push chair. I checked I could hold a large baby in one hand and fold up the pushchair in the other; that it would fit easily into the boot of both our cars (Toyota Avensis and Celica) and that I thought it would see us ...
...and buy a cheaper more lightweight one at sixth months as so many people do. I have now got a second child who uses it, aged one year. ==The Good Things== * For a new born baby you can lie it flat, so if you have a summer baby as we did you can use it in place of a pram. this saves buying a bit bulky pram attachment for an extra 100 quid that you will only use for maybe 4 months. * It does fold up more easily than most travel systems although ...

Mamas & Papas Pliko P3

Advantages: Easy to fold, compact, easy to use
Disadvantages: Having to put the wheels on myself!

We bought this pushchair a few months ago for our 3rd child. I previously had a Maclaren 3 in 1 so went for something different this time. I was a bit surprised when we collected it that it came in such a small compact box, but when folded its just a little bit bulkier than a buggy. However the only thing they didn't tell me was when I took it out of the box - I had to attach the wheels, the brake pad and the cup holder. I know that doesn't seem ...
...impatient to get it done (can't wait for husband to come home from work!), I was a bit miffed at having to do this. The cup holder was EXTREMELY hard to get on - very tight but I suppose it has to be to be secure but I was so scared of snaping it trying to get it on as its plastic. However once past this stage, the pushchair itself is incredibly easy to figure out how to use - in fact don't bother with the instructions as they make it sound more ...

Major Ergonomic design flaws will catch you out !

Advantages: Looks great
Disadvantages: Seat only 9 inches wide (ridiculously narrow), and way too heavy.

The Pliko P3 Pramette has MASSIVE ERGONOMIC design flaws which only become apparent after the initial joy of its gorgeous looks fade away ... you've been warned, please read ! My wife and I are no strangers to prams / strollers / buggies - this is pram #4, and for baby #2. Here's our experiences of the Pliko P3 Pramette from the start : In "Pram Mode" : when your child is lying flat, on its back, you'll quickly notice that the childs' legs are ...
...prepared to have soft blankets at hand for placing under the child's head, an unacceptable situation I'm sure you'll agree... In addition, there is no harness available in this mode. However, it's only when your child gets older do you hit the most serious design problem of the Pliko P3 pramette. In fact, you wonder why on earth you never noticed it from day one ... When zipped-up the Pliko P3 pramette chair is trapezoidal in design : 7 inches deep, ...

A great buggy for the town, maybe not the country

Advantages: Well designed folding mechanism, compact, easy to use
Disadvantages: Maybe a bit fragile?, not recommended for rough terrain

I don't think I can add a great deal more in respect of the functionality of the buggy than the other reviews. I agree with almost all the points they make, but I would just like to add a couple of things with regard to build quality and the environment in which you can practically use. I think that our buggy may have had a high mileage life, probably around 3 miles a day on average for a year. Perhaps that's more than most, I don't know. As such ...
...the frame became a lot less sturdy than at purchase, to be honest it's frankly now quite wobly, the joints seem to have lots of play in them. I doubt this has an impact on safety, but it does make steering a great deal less responsive, and it just feels odd. The tires on the wheels are also easily damaged, we have numerous chunks out of them where they have been torn by sharp objects perhaps. Again, nothing major, and maybe I should just expect ...

My 3rd Mamas & Papas pliko p3

Advantages: Small and compact yet fully comfortable and spaciouse
Disadvantages: Very Pricey but worth it

Well first of all i purchased a second hand pliko pushchair in 2005 and it was really easy to use and very reliable even being second hand. Then when i realised that they had improved the style of the chasis and fabric designs i started looking for a new model that i could upgrade to. At this point my son was about 8 months old and starting to wriggle about and eat biscuits etc in the buggy, so i purchased a new PLIKO P3 in city scape fabric [ which ...
...tto regret it as the slightest drop of food or milk and it showed up like a flood light in the dark. I have used the buggy up until now and its still going strong with many years use still left in it. I have now purchased my 3rd pliko p3 and the matching primmo viaggio car seat and base as my 5th baby is now here. I have this time purcased a lighter colour with different colour contrasting fabric [Mondrean colourway] , In hope that i wont need to ...

mamas and papas pilko prammette

Advantages: small when folded
Disadvantages: is quiet expensive

...it was because i knew mamas and papas was a good make! it is very versitile once you have attatched the wheels! i used this pram untill my son was 18 months then i changed for a quinny buzz because i needed something lighter and felt he looked too big in the pram. i really liked this pram the basket underneath hold alot of weight even though it looks flimsy and the fabric is hard wearing and dosen't get bleached by the sun like some do. the only ...
...does start to squeek when you are going around a corner which really bugged me and the handles, because they are height adjustable start to get loose and feel like they are going to break off. overall this is a very good pram by a very good company, is does cost alot of money especially if you buy the car seat to match aswell but i would deffinately recommend. ...

Quick review of Mamas & Papas Pliko P3

I bought my daughter a P3 Pramette when she was pregnant, at first we thought it was great. suddenly when my grandson was about 4 months old the break would not stay on, it just came off for no apparent reason. We sent it back to Mamas & Papas they said there was nothing wrong with it, but now it worked ok. Then again 3 weeks ago the same thing happened only this time it tipped completley over when the brake failed. they are still saying nothing is wrong with it. At the moment we are trying to get a different pushchair as we have lost all faith in this pushchair. ...

Quick review of Mamas & Papas Pliko P3

The build quality of this buggy is pretty poor, the plastics seem cheap. It is heavy and can be difficult to control. The 'one handed' folding is not really one handed. We really wish we did not buy this buggy and have since bought a much cheaper and lighter Chicco. ...

The P3 Pramette Makes a great pram!

Advantages: Can be used as both a pram and pushchair without having to attach new bits, looks good!
Disadvantages: Expensive, heavy to push, not very durable.

...We came across the Mamas & Papas Pliko P3 in the January sales. They were selling the pramette version complete with the Primo viaggio car seat for £300, a massive £100 off the normal price. To be honest I loved it and fell in love with it instantly. so after much deliberation we bought it. We first used it when our little girl was a week old and it was brilliant. My little girl had plenty of room to move around, and was really wamr and snug whilst ...
...a better pram. The only complaint I had was that the break wasn't very good and didn't seem to work. We then tried to use it as a pushchair when she was a bit older, and she hated it. She didn't seem to like the way the straps fastened across her and used to cry all the time. Not being a driver I had to push it for miles some days and found it very heavy to push. The frame also used to creak a lot and the whole thing just felt to me as if it might ...

Pliko P3 Travel System

Advantages: Lightweight, compact & easy to fold.
Disadvantages: Very common - everyone seems to have one!

We bought this travel system 4 months ago ready for our new baby. We also bought the Primo Viaggio SIP car seat & the Mypod to go with it. This system is excellent in the way that all these different parts fit together using the one-click system. The pushchair is brilliant, it's lightweight and easy to handle but at the same time it feels sturdy and safe. It comes with a detachable hood and detachable bar across the front. It has various reclining ...
...always find a suitable position for your baby depending on it's age & size. Another good feature is the bottom of the seat, it has multiple positions as well so when your baby is lying flat it can be folded up towards the baby to make a more secure & cosy environment. The handles have 2 positions which is very handy as my husband is quite tall and I'm not! But I must say that one of the best things about this pushchair is the way it folds. It's an ...

Pliko P3 Push chair

Advantages: Sturdy, light weight, attractive quality push chair
Disadvantages: can be bulky and not much basket room under neath

i bought this pushchair as I liked the way the primo viaggio car seat clipped into it (making life so much easier when you are trying to nip in and out of shops quickly) and that it could also double up as a make do flat bed pram for smaller babies. We have found all aspects of this push chair to be excellent. The flat bed pram can be created by unzipping the top of the pushchair and lying it down flat. This worked wonderfully when our baby was first ...
...wasn't an actual flat bed, his legs were slightly more elevated than his body. The car seat clips in and out very easily. My son loves being in his push chair and it is a very comfortable, sturdy, nicely designed pushchair. We bought the extra liner as well to give it a bit more padding. It's so easy to maneuvre and easily pushed with one hand. The basket underneath is quite small and is not supposed to be used as a shopping basket although we have ...

The only pram you'll ever need

Advantages: great design.
Disadvantages: tricky to fold

Some mothers I know have bought several prams in their quest for the right one. I got lucky. This has been a fantastic ride, and whilst my youngest is now becoming too old to use it, I am loathed to get rid of it. Firstly, the handles are exactly the right height for pushing. When you're pregnant you don't realise how crucial this is, but you soon appreciate how fundamental this is to alleviating back pain when you spend most of the next 3 years ...
...The basket underneath is a good size The seat reclines fully which is great for sleepy children. The raincover is easy to use. The safety bar at the front is great for teething children. Its comfortable and a great height, especially if you're trying to spoon feed a child on the go. In short is a cracking product and I would recommend it in a second! ...

Quick review of Mamas & Papas Pliko P3

This has to one of the best purchases Ive made. My son has used it from birth and is now 11 months old and it still has tons more use. It folds small and compact. What I liked about it was that when my son was a baby I could turn it into a pram and he lay flat and I was able to see him. I even let him sleep in it occasionally if he was having a bad night. Now he is bigger he wants to see and look around, it has a bumper bar that he loves holding onto and the 5 point harness holds him in safely but allows him to lean forward and look around. ...
