Advantages: Looks comfortable, folds easily, freestanding Disadvantages: Not cheap, too many cracks
When I had my daughter, my friend sold me her highchair for £20 - so I snatched her hand off!
I then discovered how good my deal was... I had bought a hardly used Prima Pappa highchair, which normally costs around £100 new (give or take a few pounds depending on shops and sales).
It isn't a very slim-line highchair to look at, but when it is folded, it stands against a wall easily, not taking up too much room. It also has the advantage that it ... ...chance of it opening and squishing a passing child (or grown up!) by accident. It is quite heavy though, so when they get to the age of trying to climb up it, it can hurt more than a lighter one! My house must sound like a death trap!
The seat itself is lovely and padded, with a plasticy covering that can be wiped clean easily, and can also be removed for cleaning. The seat itself has four different positions, so it can be reclined or made upright ...

Advantages: comfy for baby, fold easily, changes height, taking the seat cover off... Disadvantages: putting the seat cover back on.. and managing to clean the thing properly!
When I was pregnant, i tried to avoid mama and papas goods as i tended to think that all I was paying for was the name, and to be honest 2 years later i'm still not too sure on my assumption..
This highchair has many different features, the main ones are:
The Seat has 4 positions - There is a tab on the back of the seat which needs to gently pulled upward and then the seat tilts backwards and forwards. With the seat fully reclined my son was sitting ... ...Wow, 7 different heights? I thought this wouldn't come in handy at first but i was definitely wrong. It is simple to change the height. All you need to do is stand behind the chair, press a button on either side of the seat and hey presto it moves up and down. I find it easier to put my foot on the bottom of the high chair as if you are trying to move the height upwards you tend to lift the whole chair!!! Self Standing - If I’m honest, I haven't ...

Advantages: very comfy for baby.....stylish looking Disadvantages: Quite large.....a little awkward to clean
OK.....time for me to do a 'proper' review as I have been faffing around doing all the little fun ones!
Baby number 3......(well now she's 1yr old!)
Having used the same highchair(and everything else!) for my previous 2 children we decided on buying 'all new' for our last one!
We went to our local baby store where we set up an account for just about everything~~~pram, cot, car seat, highchair etc etc...
I also felt a little flush having just sold ... ...stuff in the Mama'a and Papas range....more pricey but I had heard and read great reviews on them so thought I'd give them a go this time round as it was a luxury we could'nt afford with the first 2!
The Prima pappa highchair ended up costing us £80 after a bulk buy discount..not too bad really as it will be used for a few years!
I chose the 'picnic time for teddy-bears' theme which is a creamy and grey colour-way with 4 little teddies having a...you ...

Advantages: Easy to use Disadvantages: Quite bulky to take in car
We bought this high chair as it is very good quality and extremely sturdy. A lot of the parenting magazines have given it very positive reviews and it has won several rewards.
The seat has four different positions, perfect as your child develops and also useful should your child get tired or sleepy whilst you are in the middle of a meal. We have also found that it is really useful being able to tip the chair back when youre giving your child medicine- ... ...than all over you!
It has a lovely padded cover (with a choice of designs)and a moulded seat, adding great comfort. The seat also wipes clean very well. The padded section is also removeable, allowing you to clean underneath where stray food always gathers on any high chair.
Th adjustable straps keep your child secure and stop them from climbing out.
The are 7 different height positions, meaning it will fit at any table or will go down low if ...

Advantages: Comfy and secure for young babies Disadvantages: Nightmare to clean
I first started using the Prima Pappa high chair when my baby was 5.5 months old. It was the first and only highchair we had at the time.
Good points
* Because my baby wasn't sitting up alone when I first used this high chair, I was reassured by the multi-recline positioning and the comfortable padded seat. My baby always looked very comfy and supported in it, and the recline helped to feed her when she tended to slump forwards.
* Now that my ... ...fact that I can remove the tray and let her sit/play in it whilst I get on with cooking or housework.
* Good secure harness system gives you peace of mind that your baby cannot escape!
* Very stable and secure. I was confident my baby would not be able to rock it over or unbalance it.
* Removable double tray feature allows you to take the inner tray and wash it easily
Bad points
* Due to the nature of the padded seat and numerous plastic mouldings ...

Advantages: has different heights which means that you can have baby at the right height for you feeding Disadvantages: Hard to clean, expensive
After having a wooden high chair which was bulky and not very practical for our Daughter, we decided to invest in a new chair for our Son!
After a lot of looking about we were both won over by M&P Prima Pappa! It is available in a range of pram shops, John Lewis, The M&P's Shops and Toys R us! The prices vary around the shops as sometimes they have special offers on. It mostly retails at around £99.99, but when we got ours it was on offer for £89.99!
... ...up and can then be stored in a cupboard or like us by the side of the dining room table! It also comes in a 3 position back rest, which enables you to use it from a young age! We used it from around 14 weeks as our little man would get upset whenever we tried to eat dinner without him. The chair in the tilted position meant that he was able to sit up in the chair without falling over!
The chair also comes with 7 adjustable heights! This enables ...

Advantages: Folds away neatly, sturdy, practical Disadvantages: Plenty of spaces for food to hide
When looking for highchairs, practicality was my key priority. I did look at the more stylish, aspirational wooden efforts, but in the end the fancy efforts didn't meet my needs.
Important for me was:
- Wipeable, removable cover
- Seat which could be tilted to different positions
- Foldable
- Wheels for moving around
- Adjustable height
- 5-point harness
It was a toss-up between this and the Chicco Polly, but for me the Prima Pappa Circles ... ...all of the criteria mentioned above, and my daughter's been using it since she was about 5 months old with no problems, as the reclining seat and the 5 point harness hold her safely in place.
On the whole I'm really happy with it - it stows away neatly, it's comfortable, it's sturdy and my daughter's happy in it. I would definitely recommend it to others.
It's not without its flaws - it's not as pretty as some of the more 'designer' seats on the ...

Advantages: Comfortable, adjustable, easy to clean Disadvantages: Heavy, difficult to manouver, not very transportable
This high chair is very very comfortable for my 18 month old son. He has been using it since around 9 months old.
It is fully adjustable - you can adjust the height to a low chair, or to table height. The low chair height is very handy if you would like to sit down whilst you feed your child.
The seat itself also reclines which means it's great for younger babies who maybe cannot support themselves very well yet.
The tray is nice and large to ... ...drinks. It is also easily removed for cleaning.
The chair is covered in waterproof padded material for comfort and easy cleaning.
The disadvantages of this product are that it is very heavy to move around. It used to be sold with wheels which would have made it a lot easier, but this has now been discontinued.
Folding and unfolding the chair is also a bit of a technical process. Try getting your head round that Grandmas!
It is also quite bulky ...

Advantages: Can use from 3 months. Disadvantages: At the expensive end of the market.
I bought this highchair for my son when he was 3 months old. He is 8 months now and it is one of my best buys. As it reclines you can use it as soon as they can be propped up. This was useful in that he was no longer to content to sit in his bouncy chair at the table while my husband and I ate, and it gave us our mealtimes back. Also it got him used to being at a table with the family. He's very happy in their and I can put a few toys on the tray ... ...in peace.
I started weaning fairly early and feeding him sloppy baby rice in his bouncy chair was driving me mad. With this chair it can be wiped down and cleaned very easily. He loved the elevated position and could see all that was going on.
It folds down fairly flat, although it is quite bulky. Also the bright plastic is not the most beautiful thing that you have ever seen. But the wheels are excellent. It means that I can roll the baby around ...

Advantages: Easy to fold, multi position height / backrest Disadvantages: Height of table
...So I invested in the Mamas & Pappas Primo highchair.
It was one of the nicer looking chairs that I'd seen - I'm not into loud colours so the subtle beige shading of this chair was perfect (city fabric)
I've found the height adjustment of the chair really handy - I can feed my boy in the lounge while I sit on the sofa, or put him higher and seat him at the dining room table.
At six months he's still not quite sitting up properly so the reclining ... ...borrowed a chair that had no reclining facility and he kept slumping in the chair and look soooooo uncomfortable!
Its also very easy to store - it fols really easily - my mum looks after the little one and uses the chair, she has arthritis and has no problem in opening and closing it. And it folds to a size that sits out of the way nicely.
The only real dowside is that at the moment the tray is a little hight but to be honest I just keep it off ...

Advantages: multi-positioning Disadvantages: bulky even when collapsed down
I bought one of these chairs when they came with little wheels, (see opinion by Doolallytap) and have been using it for my daughter for the past 2 years.
I have been generally pleased with the multifunctional arrangement of high / low positions, reclinign mode, and the removable table-top. It is robust, and wipes clean farly easily, although there are some small crevices in which some foods become stuck and are difficult to winkle out. The five-point ... ...(it's nice to know your offspring are not going to nose-dive to the floor when you turn round to get a flannel).
However, I share the sentiments regarding protability - the wheels do not make moving it about much easier (hence I assume the reason they have been discontinued). Whilst it collapses down from its A-frame using-position, it cannot be considered to flat-pack and takes up a large proportion of the available space in the boot of the car. ...
