Mamas & Papas 03 Swivel Sport

AdvantagesLight and easy to manoeuvre, stylish, good value.

DisadvantagesLike most "travel systems" it's bulkier than a buggy.

"I bought this travel system in a swivel wheel version a year ago. I knew I wanted a three-wheeler and, having gone round the shops trying them all out and boring my husband, the first thing that struck me about this one was how much lighter and easier to handle the "Sport" version is than the others in the 03 range, or indeed any of the other brands in the same price range. You can fix the front wheel when you want to "off-road" or let it swivel which ..." Read review

Tank of a pushchair but Excellent!

AdvantagesLovely looks, value, large seat, adjustable handle just great!!!

DisadvantagesIs very large and heavy but if you do alot walking is great!

"Well this is actually my 3rd pushchair for my now 2 year old son. I had an Emmaljunga Cerox from birth which I loved but he's now too big for then I got a Jane Energy stroller but hated the lightweight umbrella fold, double handle thing! I've only had this for about 3 weeks now and I love it! It folds very easily but no compact at all. You just have to pull up a small tab on one side of the handle push the other side down and pull 2 small tabs up ..." Read review

M and P fantastic 'off roader'

Advantagesyou can push it anywhere!

Disadvantagesbulky for public transport/small car

"I had been thinking of buying a 3 wheel pushchair for a while but had no idea which one. As soon as I came across the citi sport in a shop, I loved the look of it. It appeared well made and heavy duty. The one thing I will point out about it's looks is it's masculinity! Black and bold in colour so men will be just as happy pushing this pushchair as the women. I decided to give the citi sport a practice push around the shop and was pleased with ..." Read review

Posh Pushchair

AdvantagesSturdy, looks amazing, hard wearing

Disadvantagesheavy to lift, large in size even when folded

"...on ebay. Admittedly the mamas and papas 03 sport did look amazing, still does infact and can be pushed with great pride as onlookers not only coo at your baby but at this impressive monster of a travel system. The car seat is easily detachable, after a little practise and is easy to strap into the car. Baby seems very comfy and doesn't seem scrunched up in it, as other babies often seem in theirs. It is however a little heavy for carrying on its ..." Read review

Quick review of Mamas & Papas 03 series sport

"A bit too bulky and heavy compared to the jane Slalom Pro buggy. No option of removing the seat you are not using, neither is there an oprtion of infant carrier laying flat. Good price though and quite a robust buggy, compared to the quinny 3-wheeler.

Don't Buy the 03 Sport

AdvantagesCheap - but you get what you pay for!

DisadvantagesPoor build quality that doesn't last

"My son is now nine months old and we have been using the 03 Sport buggy and travel system since birth. As a three wheel buggy it is a "no frills" basic system which we were extremly happy with, we felt that it wasn't overly bulky or heavy compared to other 3 wheelers. However, ever since we bought this buggy we have had problems with it. The first problem was when in the unlocked position the front wheel would cause the whole buggy to shake violently ..." Beware the dodgy tyres Mamas and Papas 03 sport

AdvantagesLooks good

DisadvantagesFaulty tyres, poor customer service, uncomfortable for baby

"We made a massive mistake in buying this pram-as also seen in the other reviews, out baby doesn't sit right and at only 10 months old his head already reaches the 'roof' of the pram. To remedy this he must sit slumped in order to fit in. Please note that although the footmuff is helpful for the cold, it worsens the potential for your child to slump down into a crooked position as it is made from a very slidy fabric, like a sleeping bag. At £50 a bit ..." Read review

My baby's offroading!

AdvantagesGreat Offroader

DisadvantagesVery bulky for travel

"...the 03 Series Sport from Mamas and Papas. I would describe this as a mid to upper range pushchair. It comes in at around £300.00 if you include the travel seat for the car. The chair is very simple to put together, although it is quite bulky to fit into the average boot. We have an MPV, which is a perfect size for the chair. We have been on numerous walks in what you might describe as an offroad capacity and have found the pushchair to be perfect. ..." Read review

"I have to admit i am a self confessed shopaholic for prams !! I am now onto my 4th and this is def the best i have bought. My son is 9.5mnth and he seems the most comfortable in this. I bought it approx 2 weeks ago and it has been on sale since sep 03. The 03 series sport comes in 2 colours : black and red or black and yellow. dream to push Review with images

Advantageseasy to push, comfy seat, value for money

Disadvantageshood seems a little low

"i got this pushchair when my eldest was about a year old. it's a dream to push with a toddler in or lots of shopping under the seat! in my opinion the only fault i have is that the hood comes down very low so a taller baby or older toddler looks a bit hidden! the seat seems very comfortable and when I had my second daughter I was able to attach my primo vaiggio carseat without having to buy any adapters! the seat also lays completely flat for a small ..." Great until the front wheel sheered right off!!!! Review with images

Advantageseasy to move when working properly, soaks up defects in pavements, good storage

DisadvantagesFront wheel shakes, and then sheers off! Had this happened with my child in?

"Do not buy! Front wheel sheered totally off (see photo) when empty (thank goodness!) when going over a dropped curb, had my daughter been in it at the time she would have been hurled to the pavement, thought this product seemed great, that was until the back brake began to stick on, even when released it requires the right rear wheel to be rotated by hand to disengage the brake. Then there is the front wheel which after a while began to shake uncontrollably ..." Read review

Great value and good quality

AdvantagesGoes anywhere, looks fab

DisadvantagesOne flimsy catch.

"I've had this 2 and a half years and it's still going strong. Bought new from ebay shop for £112 (currently £180 MRP). Mine is swivel wheel (they used to do a fixed wheel version) Absolutely no problems with wheels/stitching, it's solidly put together. No problems with the seating position. The position in the car seat was great, baby was not scrunched up at all and her back was flat. A bit clunky to fold, the two side buttons on the handle ..." Read review

Mamas and papas 03 series sport

AdvantagesGreat on both tough terrain and whizzing round the shops

DisadvantagesHeavy, difficult to fold down, strange seating position

"This is my first baby and my first ever pushchair. As I live in the countryside, quite close to the beach I really wanted a 3-wheel all terrain pushchair. For bumpy roads and sand the 03 series Sport is excellent, you really can go anywhere. With the option of a swivel and/or fixed wheel it also means bombing around the shops is very easy. However the pushchair is virtually impossible to fold down with only 2 hands. I end up having to use my teeth, ..." Read review

Looks good, but has recurring wheel problem

AdvantagesLooks good, cheap.

DisadvantagesRecurring wheel issues, BAD customer service

"...impressed by the staff at mamas and papas and the pram sounded ideal. I was advised before hand to ask about the wheel, which I did. I was assured by the staff there was no problem with the pram, or the wheels, and IF anything were to go wrong, they had excellent back up customer service. It has now been 2 months and I STILL do not have my pram back. There IS a recurring issue with the wheel/baring. They are not fixing the problem but replacing ..." Read review
