“Fruity Fun”

published 10/10/2001

cheap, good offers, convienient.

sometimes slow delivery

As a bookaholic who thinks nothing of devouring 3 or 4 books a week, I love Mango! Mango is a division of WorldBooks, the mail-order book giant and I joined around 6 months ago. Mango caters for the recent load of books that are among the Bridget Jones type style, full of lovely, juicy reads that...

Mango are a book club, I first heard of them when I used to go on websites and see their banners telling me how I could get a free gift for joining, as I am up for all free things I decided to log onto www.mango.co.uk and have a look at what they were offering, as I am not a huge book club fan...

I joined Mango approximately 2 years ago (I think) having previously been a member of World Books - which l found to heavy and really only dealt in hard backed books. I found Mango by chance really - a leaflet fell out of a magazine. As a sucker for gimmicks and junk mail - l read it and thought...

Mango...The book club I joined a year and half or so ago. How did I come about joining a book club? Quite easy really, there was a leaflet in a magazine I had brought. (you know the ones that as soon as you open to start reading your greeted with six different flyers) I had a look through the...

Slow delivery, not as good as the internet rivals

Ever since the age of two, when I’d sit in my wooden swiss chalet in the garden, surrounded with Enid Blyton books, I’ve always been an avid reader. I’m the sort of person who, wherever I’m going, always has to pack a book in case of emergencies – being kept waiting...

Good special offers

Postage and packing expensive on cheaper books

There have recently been one or two reviews slating Mango Book Club, so it seems only fair that I say that my experience of them has been without problems so far. Not the best of starts, as my introductory book was left in my dustbin - it was a relatively new one and had been emptied that morning...

If I had to describe myself in any context, one thing that would surely come up would be the fact that I am a book-sinner. This simply meaning that I spend far too much of my time reading books to the detriment of all other meaningful life tasks, household chores, personal hygiene (only kidding)...

I was happily searching one day on the net and came across a site called Mango- ahh books so quickly i clicked and arrived at the website. This was back in around february this year...it was advertising so many books for so much and a free book to boot - the catch was to buy 4 books within your...

“Mango Bookclub”

published 05/03/2004

books to your door! good joining offers

not massive range of choice

I joined mango for one reason - to get the free books you get when you join, i picked some great books (and the most expensive ones) and sold them on ebay, i think the joining offer was 5 books for a pound or something, plus p & p which took it up to about four pounds. With mango you get a...

Slow delivery, appaling customer services

Ive been a member of Mango for several years now and am a chicklit addict. Its just my kind of books. The books themselves are great, the club less and less so. The books dont seem the same bargain they used to be, delivery is a lot slower and as for Customer Services dont get me started! However...

Good Selection, Price

The length of time it takes to get the books

I've used a number of mail order book clubs and found that non compares quite as favourably as Mango if you like reading modern fiction and novels. I was introduced to them through a leaflet in a magazine. It was 5 books for a fiver plus £2.95 P&P. As I read a lot and a lot of my favourite...

Lots of Chick-lit

Some time last year I was checking through my e-mails and up popped an offer that - in the normal way - I would've refused. The subject line announced the gift of a Free Umbrella, and, as it rains most of the time where I live, it had obviously soaked into my brain - instead of hitting the delete...

Offers on books

cost of books, postage, customer service

I joined Mango after one of their great introductory offer. As I bought a lot of books, I saw a book club as a good way of buying the books at a discounted rate, as on paper mango looked like a good idea. I got 2 free books and £15 worth of vouchers for an introductory offer, and shortly...
