Mario Party 3 (N64)

I have had this game for a few years and i still get my N64 out to play it whenever my mates come round, but i would never play it in 1 player. With buckets of new mini-games and a new Duel mode, you'd be forgiven for initially thinking this is an all-singing, all-dancing fresh experience. Which it ain't. Though mindless mini-games are fun, after a few days of controlling the little plumber through tiny and restrictive scenarios, you'll be longing for the kind of meaty gameplay and free landscapes found in Mario 64. Mario Party 3. What is with all the sequels? Can nobody think of an original idea? Well yes… play Mario party 3 and you will understand. Similar but different to the first and second Mario parties. This is a review of the Japanese version of the game, as the English version has yet to come out. Before I start, let's go over the first 2 Mario Party games. The original one was revolutional, and spawned such titles as Crash Bash on Playstation, and Sonic Shuffle on Dreamcast. Then Mario Party 2 was released, and it was a bit of a disappointment in the eyes of many.
