Advantages: Oh so many Disadvantages: Muscle strain
~~**~~ Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games ~~**
Bicep strain - not normally a condition I'd encourage, but for the sake of entertainment, it's a necessary bi-product. Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games (or M&S as I shall refer to it) has enthralled me for 2 full days now and finally it's completed and I'm exhausted. Tesco lured us in and made us buy it originally for the princely sum of £34.95 and it basically sat in the drawer once we'd tired ... ...are tons of missions and circuits to unlock as a single player. Unemployment finally has its uses and I'm a dab hand at table tennis and pole vault whilst my poor hard working lover is rubbish due to his lack of practice. It's true, training does pay off and I've probably got the hang of most of the events though some are infuriating to begin with.
M&S' gameplay is addictive - at the beginning you progress through the circuits with ease, then as ...

Each of them has their own strengths: for example sonic is fast, but dr robotnik (annoying called dr eggman in this game) is really strong. As long as you have a wii remote per player you can play most of the events, although several of them require a nunchuk per person as well, which is a bit annoying because they're £15 each. However this only affects a couple of games, so its not much of a problem.
Fortunately, Mario and Sonic is still fun ...

...has joined in with Nintendo's Mario this time. The reason for this pairing up is purely commercial.
You can control a myriad of characters from the Mario and Sonic games, or you can play as your Mii character, I always do. There are nine categories in total.

Mario and Sonic. For gamers and cartoon fans, it is a match made in heaven. Move over fish and chips or Ant and Dec, there is a new double act here.
GENERAL GAMEPLAY:
Like its sports predecessors, such as Wii Sports and to a certain Pro Evo 08, this game takes full use of the Wii remote. Mostt noticable for the running style, you have to move the remote (and nunchuk) up and down as quickly as possible to run faster. SPORTS:
There is a great variety of sports, which is one reason that it is better than Wii Sports. Obviously there is the 100m or 400m sprints, and also hurdles, using the new running style. The aquatics is my faviourite, as different characters have different ways of swimming (running, crawl, butterfly etc). Shooting is basically like most gun games on ...

Mario and Sonic have come together to make a game called "Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games" this game was made for the 2008 Olympic Games in China. It isn't a promo game and is still around. But is it worth it?
GAMEPLAY
You can choose from a variety of different games, like 100m, 100m freestyle, table tennis, pole vault etc. These are fun, but some of the controls are hard and get boring after a while.
GRAPHICS
The game has good graphics, ... ...in it. It's great that the two rivals look good together in one game. The graphics are 3D which is also good, because mainly in the "Mario" and "Sonic" games, the graphics are 2D. It's good that they look good in 3D
SOUND
There are good sound effects, like when you land on a mat, but there isn't much music. Most of the characters say the same thing over and over. This could be improved.
LONGEVITY
I found the game boring after a bit and got another ...

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games is the best Olympic game that is out there is pure fun all the way. The game features a whole load of events such as athletics, gymnastics, shooting, rowing, archery, aquatics, fencing, and table tennis also included the dream events.
