...are we! James Patterson's Mary, Mary is the 11th book in the Cross series, I have the hard back cover which is 320 pages long but with chapters on average lasting 3 pages. Like any Patterson book it is an easy and enjoyable read. I recommend it to any fans of Cross or Patterson! However if you have not read any Cross stories before Mary Mary may not be the book for you as it does not recap or give details of Alex as its assumed the reader already ...

Written spanning several different aspects, the book moves back and forth with relative ease and its easy to follow. Its full of suspense, drama and graphics to make you want to keep reading. No plot spoilers in this review! A 'James Patterson' with no collaborative writer so you're not left wondering who wrote what. The story moves with good place and I did gasp aloud at one point. Regular characters join Dr. Alex Cross so there is a comfort zone within the tale. Conversely, I was left feeling the psychological profile of the 'baddie' was not fully investigated and more could have been made of the reasons for the crimes committed. ...

The taster didn't really work on me as the first couple of paragraphs suggest it will almost be a retrospective and I don't like prequels. However, given the standard of writing and ease of reading, existing fans should enjoy the book.
