    Advantages Advantages Good plot, doesn't rely on the video games for story

    Background Ascension is the second book of a series science fiction series set in the Mass Effect Universe. This book is set after the events of the first book (which I have also reviewed), and the first video game in the series, and is set before the second Mass Effect video game. Premise The book follows a doctor called Kahlee Sanders (who fans will remember from the first book) who has now left the military and is working on the Ascension Project.     Advantages Advantages Very well written, interesting story, hard to put down.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages May not appeal to none Mass Effect fans, none of the main characters from the games appear.

    Ah, books. An old timely way for a person to leave the realms of their everyday worries and troubles and immense themselves in a world of fantasy, suspense and intrigue. Of course books do have a downside, it requires the person to sit there and read, yes I know, read! This can be seen as boring in today’s world where TV and video games do all the work for us. They give the images, the voices and deliver the story faster and in some ways better.
