Advantages: I get to use a ® and Mastercards are great Disadvantages: Credit in general isn't a good idea for most members of the population
...these days, but Visa and Mastercard are the big two, at least in terms of worldwide acceptability. I chose this one because I already had a Visa debit card, and I felt the need for variety, no other reason. My bank offered me both with the same terms and conditions, and there was really nothing to pick between them.
Credit cards are ways to pay for items without having to hand over, or even possess the cash then and there. They come with a limit ... ...whether you’re a Visa or Mastercard person.
I don’t use cards because I need the credit, I use them for the convenience. They can be used worldwide and with most you are not charged a fee for using them abroad. The interest rate they use to calculate your home equivalent might not be as favourable as some, but it almost always works out cheaper than withdrawing cash abroad, and is certainly safer. Most credit card suppliers have some ...

Advantages: You can buy and cash money from almost any where in the world Disadvantages: overspending???
...I have got my new MasterCard a few weeks ago and It was a bit of a long and complicated procedure to get it. The story goes like that:
I applied for the MasterCard and I was called afterwards and asked to send a proof of my student status (I am currently a full time post grad). On the same day I photocopied my University registration document and sent it back to the relevant address. Then I waited. After a week I called and was told to wait for ... ...interesting to point out that MasterCard Worldwide is a financial enterprise that provides payment systems and was founded in 1966 under the name Master Charge. Advantages: None Disadvantages: You will never see your money again
Avoid this company like the plague.... I joined them a few weeks ago and deposited a few small payments via my bank on to the card. After only a couple of days the 'top up' was showing up on the cashplus account as available. next I deposited £200 via bank transfer and after 5 days, nothing..... No sign of the money . As I am unable to use the phone properly due to a disability I emailed them twice to ask where my money was. Both emails ignored. ...

Advantages: NONE Disadvantages: HIGH CHARGES - DELAYED UPLOADS
Cashplus card is a good prepaid credit card but unfortunately takes a long time to upload your credit. For example, if you go to post office in UK and top up and you are abroad USA expect to get your money 48 hours later because that is how long it takes. WARNING, you pay excessive charges when in USA, around 7.00 pounds per ATM transaction, plus the USA bank charge, so be warned.
remember 48 HOURS they take to upload the money, so if you need it ...

Advantages: Nope Disadvantages: They steal from us
Of course, Mastercard and Visa get good or bad rap's depending on the reviewer's own service provider. Some Mastercards offer low low rates, some are tantamount to daylight robbery. So I guess we have to identify what aspects of the credit card experience Mastercard are actually responsible for.

To have a credit card is not in itself a bad thing. But the actual company that is Mastercard is an evil, evil empire that should be smashed. ...

Advantages: Ideal for online shopping Disadvantages: none
I have been using my Cashplus card for 6 month now, I feel a lot more secure buying online as the card is just the same as a pay as you go mobile phone. Unlike some other comments I don't see the ATM fee of £2 a problem as I never use the ATM anyway, if I need cash I don't load it onto my card.
The online access to my account is better than my online banking account and is real time. Cashplus offers the same protection as my credit card provider ...
