Advantages Advantages Adds volume and length, good quality formula

Disadvantages Disadvantages A little on the expensive side

Max Factor False Lash Effect Fusion MascaraThis mascara is actually the sister product of Max Factor’s false lash effect mascara, which is hugely popular and even won awards. I was a huge fan of the original version of this, however after trying this version (the 'fusion' one) I am in love! It is seriously my new favourite ever mascara, I love it, and you will soon see why. Colour wise, there are two shades to choose from - the usual black and brown. As far as I am aware there is not a waterproof version of this mascara available. Product ClaimsMax Factor says that this mascara has Max ... more

    Advantages Advantages Fullsome lashes guaranteed...

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None for me...

‘But mum this one is three pounds cheaper than the False Lash Effect!’ ‘Yes but what is it like, love?’ ‘The same…except it says Fusion on it as well.’ ‘OK then, go on, get it me.’ Kids!! I had asked for my usual Max Factor False Lash Effect mascara for my birthday a couple of months ago, and my teenage daughter had rang from Boots to say there was a New Kid on the Block that is supposed to be the updated version of my favourite eye cosmetic. What could I say? She *is* a poor student and I tend to love all things ‘Max Factor’ anyway?! The Hype *********** Checking out the Max Factor website to ... more

Advantages Advantages No clumps, good volume and length

    Disadvantages Disadvantages quite expensive

I originally went to buy this for somebody else, who'd asked me to purchase the Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara, in the black tube (£10.99 I think). I went into Boots and accidentally picked up this newer version instead - the Max Factor False Lash Effect Fusion Mascara (£11.99). The fusion version is an update on the original version, and has an additional lengthening formula for lashes, as well as the original volumising formula. This fusion version comes in a similar tube to the original, but is bright purple instead of black. When I got to the till, there was a deal on which meant ... more

Max factor false lash effects mascara fusion This is advertised as being the ultimate in lash glam and is apparently the first super-volumising and lengthening mascara in one. The mascara is the sister product to Max Factor’s award-winning False Lash Effect and has extra lash lengthening formula, which contains the nylon fibres found in real lash extensions along with lash plumping particles. PRODUCT AND PACKAGING… The mascara is packaged in a purple tube with a slightly slanted screw on/off lid. Its nice and chunky so easy to hold and to use. When I unscrew the lid and take out the mascara ... more

Advantages Advantages improves the look of my lashes, was a good price on eBay

Disadvantages Disadvantages gets very sticky after only a few uses, smudgy, not waterproof

Max Factor False Lash Effect Fusion Mascara Last year, or maybe it was just earlier in this year, I can't really remember, I bought the Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara from Boots. It cost me about a tenner which is what you should expect to pay for the average mascara on sale at Boots. I have tried loads of products from Max Factor before and its a brand I've become familiar with and grown to love. I'm a bigger fan of their foundations than their mascaras, although I do like some of their mascaras. Their "false lash effect" mascara was a bit of a disappointment though. I thought that the ... more

Advantages Advantages Does what it says, long lasting

    Disadvantages Disadvantages A little pricey

Ok, so I have a drawer full of make up and have been trying to use up some of the many products that I have accumulated over the years. Amongst these were many mascaras; I have mainly lately been using up some Maybelline ones. I can't say that I have ever really found a great mascara to be honest. I have fairly short eyelashes and long for thick, long lashes but don't fancy wearing falsies! Once I'd used up my drawer full, I decided that I'd treat myself and headed down to Boots. If you don't really know what you are looking for, it can be a bit of a minefield as so many mascaras make such ... more
