5 Stars Stay Put Lippy 16/02/2011

Advantages Advantages Long lasting, Great colours

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can dry lips a little

I have always been more of a lip gloss and balm kind of girl until I met my partner; he loves me to wear coloured lipstick so on special occasions and romantic night's in ect the lippy comes out to play. Normally I'm a die hard No7 or Benefit fan but as this was a gift to begin with I fell in love with this range. Max Factor's - Lipfinity: Lipfinity contains permatone, a breakthrough ingredient that provides semipermanent colour by gently attaching colour pigments to the lips in a flexible mesh effect. It lasts up to 12 hours. From application in the morning, through coffee, lunch and ... more

Advantages Advantages Lasts for up to 12 hours

Disadvantages Disadvantages Fairly expensive and the balm will run out before the colour

For my hols in September I decided that I would have a look for some long lasting make up pieces that I could wear around the pool without having to keep re-applying. Having already found 60 day mascara and 24-hour eyeliner my thoughts turned to lippy. As it was for daytime wear I needed something fairly subtle but that would great with a tan. After a bit of research on the internet I came across Max Factor Lipfinity which claims to last for up to 12 hours. I decided to pop into Boots and have a look at the colour range but before I could get anywhere near the display I was accosted by the Max ... more

4 Stars KIssing Pretty! Review with images 27/05/2011

Advantages Advantages Good range of colours, good quality, lasts well

Disadvantages Disadvantages Sometimes needs reapplying, top coat has a few issues

I don’t wear lipstick as much as I wear eye make up, because I feel my eyes are my best feature. I wear eye make up most of the time when I go out, but only usually wear lipstick when I go out in the evening or if I am signing my books at an event and want to look glamorous! I like my lipstick to stay put. I hate the kind that comes off on every cup or transfers to my fiancé’s lips when I kiss him. Years ago, I found the solution in the product Lipcote, a clear kind of ‘varnish’ which you applied to your lips with a brush and it kept your lipstick in place for hours. Then I couldn’t seem to ... more

Advantages Advantages Lasts longer than most, great colours, 2 colours last two months

Disadvantages Disadvantages Appears expensive initially so could put buyers off, dries lips out

Forget my opinion dated 11th January 2002 (Rimmel 1000 kisses) – I hadn’t heard of Lipfinity from Max Factor then – priced at £9.99 from most supermarkets and pharmacies this product is a must have for any one in the public eye (oh that makes me sound famous!) or for anyone who wants a Catalina style pout (umm maybe that’ll put you off!!!). ~ ~ PRICE AND AVAILABILITY ~ ~ I have heard recently that many local independent pharmacies are reluctant to stock Max Factor products as the minimum order requirement is £2000 and with Rimmel being a cheaper though sometimes inferior product, they find it ... more

Advantages Advantages Colour that lasts all day, lots of shades

Disadvantages Disadvantages Very drying for the lips, expensive

I seem to go through phases with make-up. In my late teens I wouldn’t be seen dead without half of the contents of the Boots make-up counter plastered over my face (I did have the excuse of being a New Romantic/goth). In my twenties, I decided I looked younger without make-up, so I completely stopped wearing it. However, when I hit my thirties, I started needing it! In order to stop my eyes looking like pee holes in the snow, I started wearing eye make-up, but this looked funny without any lipstick. So began the quest for a lipstick that lasted more than 3 minutes. I used to wear Rimmel ... more

Advantages Advantages Seriously long lasting, Nice colours, nice packaging

Disadvantages Disadvantages Drying effect, A bit pricy, limited range of shades

I do try with make up you know. I regularly apply it on those mornings when I manage to drag myself out of bed more than twenty minutes before I have to leave the house. Okay, so that means maybe once a week, but it’s all relative here, all relative. Unfortunately I’m one of those people who will apply make up and half an hour later the foundation has melted off my face, the lipstick has worn away leaving only a scrap of mascara left intact. Hardly makes for all day gorgeousness does it? This is mainly because I don’t reapply, I cant be arsed with it, popping off to the toilet every hour to ... more

Advantages Advantages Stays on and refuses to budge

Disadvantages Disadvantages CAn cake on the lipts if your not careful

I found this product a couple of years ago, cheap on a market in London and I haven't looked back since! I own about 10 colours in all different shades nowadays and I simply adore them and always keep one or tewo in a handbag! There are plenty of colours to choose from and the range is growing all the time along with special editions popping up from time to time too! It promises to stay on all day or all night. It does! You can eat, drink and snog and it don't budge at all! I can go clubbing, and on dates, have a cheeky kiss and the man thinks he about to get covered in lippy and looks nervous ... more

Advantages Advantages Good rich colour which does stay put

Disadvantages Disadvantages You need a good make up remover to take it off

For years I have been searching for a lip colour that stays put all day, and now I have finally found one that does just that. I decided that I needed a new lippie and so I went to my local Boots store. Usually I only spend about £6.00 on lipstick, but I had seen all of the Max Factor advertisments for Lipfinity and decided to pay a little extra and treat myself. I bought number 103 and it cost £9.99. There is quite a wide selection of colours, that range from pinks, peaches, reds, plums and browns, and all that's inbetween, so there will be a colour for just about everyone. The products is ... more

Advantages Advantages Lasts longer than most other of Lipsticks

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive at £9.99

I bought this product back in May, I had a big formal ball to go to and I didn’t want to have to be running to the toilets all night to reapply my lipstick. Especially after I’d had a few drinks my steady hand goes out of the window! Firstly I wanted a bright red glamorous lipstick, to make me stand out against everyone else. Plus I was wearing a black full-length satin dress, so I wanted something glossy and bright. So I was looking for colour more than anything else, my friend and I looked at practically every lip gloss and lipstick available in our local Boots, testing each on our hands. I ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages Does n't come off easily. becomes quite dry without gloss.Quite costly.

I was passing by Superdrug the other day and went in with no actual intention to buy any stuff. But then I am crazy about lipsticks and before I knew it my legs carried me to the aisle where the lipsticks are displayed. I tried innumerous colours on the back of my hand from different brands and before long the back of my hand started looking like it was badly mangled with lots of blood! Ha! But who cares! (Or at least that's what I thought then !!) And then I saw something which caught my eye! It was Max Factor's very sleek looking lipstick with that come-and-test-me look. And I did try the ... more
