Advantages: Lasts for up to 12 hours Disadvantages: Fairly expensive and the balm will run out before the colour
...the internet I came across Max Factor Lipfinity which claims to last for up to 12 hours.
I decided to pop into Boots and have a look at the colour range but before I could get anywhere near the display I was accosted by the Max Factor sales lady who interrogated me on what product I was looking for. After explaining my need for a long lasting lippy for wearing at the swimming pool, she sat me down on a stool in the middle of the shop (not at all ... ...a couple of seconds. She then trotted off to the lipfinity display and grabbed a tester in what looked like a really dark brown colour.
She obviously realised that I did not look impressed by her colour choice but stated that she was a trained make up artist and asked me to trust her and see what I thought of the results.
Oh what the hell, I was already sat on a stool in the middle of a very busy Boots store, feeling like a complete berk, so why ...

...hadn’t heard of Lipfinity from Max Factor then – priced at £9.99 from most supermarkets and pharmacies this product is a must have for any one in the public eye (oh that makes me sound famous!) or for anyone who wants a Catalina style pout (umm maybe that’ll put you off!!!).

Oops bet I get told off for that!) The presentation box is in line with the £9.99 price tag. ...about the amazing Lipfinity by Max Factor which promised to stay on all day. Was it too good to be true?
Claiming to be a semi-permanent cosmetic, Lipfinity is actually in two parts – the lip paint and the moisturising top coat. It can be recognised by its unusual (for a lipstick) 5 inch gold box. The shade is clearly displayed on the top of the box, but I have found them to be a bit darker in use than on the box, so try them out on your hand or ... ...as they do not come off easily and you will end up with a rainbow of shades over your smackers. Depending on where you buy them from you can find up to about 15 shades, but only a few are light colours. Many are definitely for evening wear. Lipfinity is available from most high street chemists such as Boots and Superdrug.
I bought a shade called Delicious Delicieuse (170) which looked like a dusky pink colour and I paid £9.99. When you open the ...

...long. Lipfinity, by Max factor, is paint for lips. Sounds rather scary when you put it like that doesn’t it? Well don’t worry it isn't scary. It comes in a pale gold box that looks very classy and contains too bottles the lip paint and the moisturising topcoat. The lip paint has a clear section where the colour is kept and a long golden applicator wand for, well applying. It looks rather stylish too. The applicator is a soft pad style thingy (I don’t ... ...I haven’t found there to be much of a problem with overloading, a quick wipe on the rim of the bottle usually ensures that the right amount of lip colour is on the pad when used. On application you apply a thin coating of colour to your lips and wait for it to dry. It is quite important at this stage that you keep a steady hand. While my small mistake have not meant much of a problem cleaning up a large mistake will probably mean you’ll have to remove ...

...had seen all of the Max Factor advertisments for Lipfinity and decided to pay a little extra and treat myself.
I bought number 103 and it cost £9.99. There is quite a wide selection of colours, that range from pinks, peaches, reds, plums and browns, and all that's inbetween, so there will be a colour for just about everyone.
The products is well packaged in a small rectangular cardboard box (which is goldish in colour), and there is an instruction ... ...The product itself is a two step system, consisting of 'paint for lips' and 'moisturising top coat'.
Firstly on dry lips you apply a thin, even layer of the 'paint for lips' and let that dry for approximately one minute. To apply the colour, you use the applicator provided, which is like a little sponge on a stick. At first, I will admit that I struggled a little with this as I did put too much on my lips, and ended up, going over my natural lipline, ...

...caught my eye! It was Max Factor's very sleek looking lipstick with that come-and-test-me look. And I did try the tester. And immediately went on a maddening spree! I liked almost all the ones that I tried but the one I chose finally was a deep red-brown lipstick-Max Factor Lipfinity 108. ...Max Factor Lipfinity promises to stay on your lips all day. Does it work? Well yes, but at £9.99 it's a hard choice to make on buying one if you aren't sure if it will work.
I have read many conflicting opinions about Lipfinity, but I wanted to try it for myself. I am quite tight when it comes to money, and I didn't want to spend £10 on a lipstick. A fiver is normally my limit, and that's on a good day. I spend about fifteeen minutes in Superdrug ... ...testing them on my hand.
I then travelled to Boots, and did the same. I settled on a choice of two shades, 180 and 190.
It does take me a long time to make a decision so by the time I had decided on the shade for me, the tested bits on my hand were stuck fast. This convinced me the product would work.
I eventually bought shade 190, a brown shade.
I tried it when I first got home. The instructions tell you to allpy to clean, dry lips. You apply ...

Advantages: very long wearing so no need for constant touch-ups Disadvantages: need to carry two tubes, color and gloss.
I was in Boots one day last year determined to buy a nice red lipstick for the holiday season when I noticed the advertising for Lipfinity. I grilled the salesgirl about the product as it claims to stay on for eight hours. I was told it was a perma-tone pigment that doesn't rub off like regular wax lipsticks can. I was immediately impressed. I put it on and did the coffee cup test,it passed. I then did the doughnut ...

I went window-shopping with a friend and as we wandered around the town centre we ended up in superdrug. ...will understand :O)
Max Factor’s Lipfinity is a fairly new lipstick product on the market. It was launched on the catwalks in January 2000, but it has only really just caught on with us mere mortals now!
********************
THE PRODUCT:
There are 2 products that make up ‘Lipfinity’:
- The Paint For Lips
- The Moisturising Top Coat
The products come in a gold box and are very neat and stylish-looking.
- The actual lipstick ... ...a pen.
3, Max Factor recommend that you apply to the lower lip then to the top lip filling the entire lip area. I find that this is the best way to apply the lipstick too. If you make any mistakes when applying then if you are quick you can correct them using a cotton bud, but you can only do this before the lipstick dries (very quick!) Remember to twist the cap back on tightly when finished.
4, Wait a minute or so for the product to set, before ...

Advantages: Stays put, whatever you do. Disadvantages: No tester available, at least not in Sainsburys
...It was developed by Max Factor with the help of Movie make up artist Sarah Monzani.
You apply the colour once first thing in the morning and it will last through coffee, lunch and afternoon tea, you really can forget about it.
The paint for lips comes in a 2.3 ml size and is liquid that you paint on using the applicator and the moisturizing topcoat is 1.9-gram size in a stick to apply like normal lipstick.
You apply the paint firstly as a lipliner ... ...must wait for this to completely dry before you apply the topcoat (an even cover is achieved using the applicator, rather than trying a brush). You do need a steady hand to apply the paint, or remove mistakes very quickly using a cotton bud dipped in a oil based remover, as if it drys before you remove it, it will mean removing the lot and starting again from scratch. As your lips dry out during the day you only need to reapply the moisturizing topcoat. ...

Lipfinity - a simple guide
INTRO
Lipfinity is a two-stage lipstick. Stage one is the colour - apply and allow to dry for a few minutes. Stage two is the sealant - apply and allow to dry for a few minutes more. That's it - you're done!
PROS
It is definitely long-lasting. I don't mean long-lasting like other long-lasting lipsticks; I mean long-lasting like nuclear waste!
Despite being completely dry on your lips, it actually looks quite glossy ... ...the past (although you can top up the gloss with the sealant a couple of times in a full day).
My personal Lipfinity record is 14 hours and that includes eating sandwiches, talking on the phone all day and drinking coffee and fizzy drinks. The only reason I stopped at 14 hours is because it was time for bed. Oh and I am sure there must have been at least a couple of kisses in that time!
CONS
For a mid-brand product, it has a top-brand price of ...

Advantages: Defies eating, drinking and kissing. Long-lasting lippy. Disadvantages: Can leave lips feeling 'gritty'.
Lipstick that lasts all day, a likely story. That’s what I thought when I read a review in a woman’s magazine about a year ago. Four women had been asked to try MaxFactor Lipfinity for a day and each one rated it highly. So lets give it a go I thought. So off I went to Boots to buy this product, and that was mistake number one. The magazine had stated that the product cost £9.99 so no shocks in the store there, but buyer beware. On my ... ...guessed. The makeup stall was selling Lipfinity for £6.99. Don’t you just hate it when this happens? Most towns have a market so I’d check yours out before you head for the major stores. Testing – The major stores like Boots or Superdrug will have testers, the only problem with these are if you test on the back of your hand like most women, the product will stay there. No amount of rubbing or licking is going to remove it. Standing ...
