    Disadvantages Disadvantages Little expensive

*Introduction* When buying mascaras I usually stick with Maybelline as their mascaras have always worked well for me in the past. This mascara (known as 'Aqualash') was recommended to me by a friend so I decided to give it a go. The mascara costs £6.99 for 9ml, which is usually a little more than I spend on mascaras, but I was willing to give it a go as it is better to pay more for something that works than to pay a little for something that doesn't. The mascara is available in black, black / brown and navy. I chose black as this is the colour I always use. I usually wear waterproof mascara as ... more

Advantages Advantages Definitely waterproof and you don't lose any of the look

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

Just before my holidays I asked my friends if they knew of any good waterproof mascaras and one of them picked Max Factor aqualash up. I know that it definitely comes in brown and black, but I am unsure whether other colours are available. I use the black one and was very impressed with the results. I was hoping that it would actually be waterproof, unlike previous mascaras I have tried, and was careful not to get my face too wet the first time I went in the pool as I had never properly tested it out before. Unfortunately I couldn't be too careful as I was in a pool surrounded by people ... more

Advantages Advantages Stays on for ages

Disadvantages Disadvantages Removing requires lots of baby oil

Having been using Max Factor Aqualash, as it's commonly known, for years, and having read some of the other opinions, I thought it was time I wrote my own synopsis on it! Firstly, some people seem to think it is expensive. I purchased some in April 2003, from Boots, for £6.50, which I think is very reasonable compared to some other mascaras - especially if you're using it on a daily basis. I find a tube lasts about six weeks, which equates to just over £1.08 a week - hardly expensive! It comes in three colours: Black (01), Black/Brown (02), and Navy (04). Packaging is navy blue with gold ... more

    Advantages Advantages Stays on.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Does not make the lashes look thick or long.

Max Factor Aqua Lash is a waterproof mascara that I have used quite a lot since my eyes tend to water all the time. I got it from Boots and it cost £6.99. I use the black mascara because I think it looks better, but you can also get it in navy, but then it costs £7.77. It is waterproof but sometimes if I have been swimming for instance my lashes look rather strange but they are still black. If you rub your eyes little bits of it will come off so it's not smudge proof. I have never had any eye problems from using it but I'm normally not allergic to make up. I wear this mascara all the time and ... more

    Advantages Advantages stays on great

    Disadvantages Disadvantages the price

When I first tried this product I had no choice but to use it I was in a production where my role involved crying alot. This meant that I had to wear mascara to strengthen the look of my eyes on stage but I didnt want it running everywhere or keep on reapplying and cleaning up during rehearsals. Well it worked on the night, I looked great, well I hope I did anyway and my mascara stayed in tacked all night. So I decided that I was going to buy some myself. It is very expensive at £7 a tube but for those special evenings and when you are feeling emotional it is great. Even if you cant afford to ... more

    Advantages Advantages Definetely Waterproof

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive

When buying make up for my up coming summer holiday I decided that a must have would be a waterproof mascara so that my make up wouldn't run while in the pool or by the beach. I came accross the new waterproof mascara from maxfactor and decided to give it a try. Quite expensive at £7-00 but well worth it if it worked. The packaging was typical maxfactor style, dark blue with gold writing, not too fancy but nice. After trying it on it certainly made by lashes look long, dark and curvy, just what i wanted from a mascara. It also claims to keep them in good condition. After splashing my face with ... more

    Advantages Advantages Waterproofing is excellent

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Relatively expensive

My eyes are always watering- in the wind, when I sneeze, laugh and I have hayfever but this mascara never budges. It is not scented which is a bonus to those of us with sensitive eyes or contact lens wearers. It can get a little thick and clumpy after a month or so but maybe I'm expecting it to last longer than it should? When fresh, it is easy to apply and any smudges etc can be removed with a tissue as long as you do that before it dries. It provides good coverage of the lashes, has a decent brush and you can use the tapered tip to get at those corner lashes without getting spiked! This ... more

Advantages Advantages mascara would not drip into skin

Disadvantages Disadvantages the brush should come in shorter sizes

Waterproof mascara from Max Factor, helps me to keep my fashion style always fresh. I love going to the gym looking my best and this product helps me look pretty good. This is a plus for me because ,I have short eye lashes and they are very clear of color. I can't put on regular mascara to do physical activities because, this will start to drip all over my face , "this will give me nightmares". I love this mascara because it helps me bring out the colors of my eyes and make them look even bigger, "if I apply large amounts of mascara". I wish I had natural long and dark eyelashes but these are ... more

I used to love this dark navy mascara as did the girl I worked with. We cannot find it in the high street nor can we find a suitable alternative. Some are a light navy others are not as easy to apply - inferior wand, to runny etc. nothing as good in our view. Please help. If it is no longer available can someone recommend a suitable alternative. As I understand it Max Factor were the first to make waterproof mascara and I have always loved their products. In my view they have not been equalled in the cosmetic industry. However, we are both amazed that they seem to have discontinued this ... more
