Advantages Good storylines, Bullet time and sound track.
Disadvantages Short gameplay, Repetative in places.

Imagine yourself waking up on christmas morning (or afternoon as i did) and rushing downstaairs only to find that no one else is awake, waiting 45 minuites untill the family emerged from there coresponding pits and then a mad rush to get at the presents . After the usual 6 pairs of socks, 5 pairs of boxer shorts, a hidious knitted jumper and some other satisfactory items i came upon a small oblong present (about the size of an x box game case). Advantages Fun, furious, at times... just crazy!
Disadvantages no multiplayer option.

"WOW!" those were the first words that left my mouth when i picked up the controller to 'MAX PAYNE'. This is one of those games that will definitely be remembered. I first played the game on the Playstation2. It was good. Then i played it on the X box. It was fantastic! Everything that was wrong with the game on the playstation2 was solved on the X box. The controls are easier to get used to, the loading time is greatly diminished, the graphics hold that added spark that only the X box can provide... i love it! Well what can I say about Max Payne its a flagship game the first to use the slow motion (bullettime) feature. Everything about this game on the X box is remarkable. But the one thing that caught my eye is the attention to detail on the weapons themselves. This may sound a tad pointless in a game but if u pause as soon as you have fired a shot from a weapon then you can actually see the bullet leaving!!!!Now that is attention. Now lets see...Max Payne was a direct PC port to the PS2 and Xbox and it looks exactly the same but thats not a bad thing thats a good thing. For a start the enemy AI is remarkably good because enemies will throw grenades round corners and won't just stand by while you shoot them. The slow motion diving and bullet time use in the game are trendsetting as the first game to use them which makes it all the more enjoyable. Also the graphic novel system between level areas is also really good and looks great and the whole game features in particullar a very moody actor voicing Max and all other ... more

I love shooting games, but Max Payne is my favourite, mainly because of the graphics and the bullet time feature. I played Max Payne on my friends PC a few years ago so decided to buy it for my Xbox. I got it for £10 and it's worth every penny. I have to admit that I played Max Payne just to shoot the bad guys and use bullet time, rather then to follow the story. As I understand Max's wife has been murdered so he is going after the bad guys to take revenge. Anyway, I love the way it's set out, and the graphics are ace. Advantages FPS at its best
Disadvantages none for me

This to me is what cross platform conversions is all about. Originally on the PC, and converted so smoothly. I find it the dark and gripping game thats a must for all to have. The story line sucks you in styled in the comic book style, good story line, maybe to just jazz up the relentless violence the game has to offer. With bullet time for that added kick to slaughter some bad guys. Never found it difficult to control, no where near the tomb raider standards, its easy to play great graphics and has an air about it that steals a place in all gamers hearts. Max payne is a police man in the nypd he comes home one night to find his family killed by gangsters and mobsters. You might have reconised the game before from the pc. This game is out of this world it is probably the best game i've played for the x box so far. The graphics are very good and when i first played on the game i fell in love. It is a game that you would like to do in real life kill the bad guy. At the moment i will not play on any other game until i complete it. this game is the best i have played on the xbox it's very easy to play and there always somthing happening, your always looking around for time on what to do next, the game is allso good for young people to polay because it easy to get control of. and it also has an effect on the game i bit like matrix film you can dodge the bullets and this makes the game look exicting and made me want to play it all day which i did and was playing it for weeks after and now i have completed\ the game all i want now is max payne 2. what you saying? if this game was cheaper i thinck many more people would bye ... more

Max Payne 2 starts off right where the last game ended, and newbies shouldn't fret as there is a section that touches on the events leading up to the sequel. The vast majority of the story found in Max Payne 2 revolves around love interest turned murder suspect, Mona Sax (hey, I didn't make up these names). While Max spends a good amount of the game chasing Mona around like a love sick puppy, the plot does manage to weave everything together in a nice little package.
