Maxtor 500GB EXTERNAL

Advantages: Maximizes the amount of data vs the cost of the product
Disadvantages: heat issues, cord connectivity, and small installation problems.

Good for the price

Advantages: Simple design, technically up to date,
Disadvantages: Could have 5 years of warranty

...was really hot but the maxtor was just warm. Luckily I did not go for the more expensive brother (onetouch 4) for further details read CNET reviews I think as it is an external drive it should NOT be on constantly, I generally eject the hardware from th pc and it simply turns itself off (completely)<= I like this function. Comes with 3 years warranty. Specs: 500gb, 7200rpm, 16MB/500GB cache buffer Just go for it... Data sheet: http://www.seagate.com/staticfiles/maxtor/en_us/documentation/data_sheets/m ...
