...say for sure. I believe Maxtor are a well respected company and it comes with a good manual, so I'm not worried about that. I think this is a good, reliable device, I've had mine for over two years now and its never broken down (touch wood). First of all for anyone who doesnt want to read all of this review... to sum up this product is really quite awesome. The reason behind buying this product was very simple, the pcs we currently have in the house are getting quite old now 3 years, and a bit dodgy to say the least.. the final straw came when my brothers pc was barely turning on, the pc contained all his a level, and first year university work, which was needed to be saved.. I bought this hard drive a few weeks ago to use with my laptop as I needed more memory. I was somewhat apprehensive about buying an external hard drive as I am not particularly good with computers and assumed I would do something wrong and it wouldn't work!
