I never usually have the same mascara twice, I tend to mix and match various ones as I am never completely satisfied with any mascara (its more my eyelashes I don’t like but I’ll blame the mascara!). All mascara’s I use are lengthening, volumising and black. I can’t use blue or brown mascara because it just isn’t the same. Admittedly, the main reason for buying this mascara was the look of it. Advantages Cheap, good quality, well pigmented, adds very subtle length and volume
Disadvantages Brush is too small and the bristles are stubby

I've got quite a lot of mascara's and I love trying new ones out. I purchased this one a few months ago - it mainly appealed to me because it's a lot cheaper than the brand of mascara that I usually buy and I really liked the baby pink packaging as well because so many mascaras come in boring black tubes! I bought mine from Tesco and paid £4.99 which is a real bargain in my opinion. This is around the average retail price although it does vary slightly depending on where it is purcased. Although I have had this Maybelline Great Lash mascara for a while I have barely used it, favouring other mascaras that I have. ~ Price and availability ~ This Maybelline Great Lash mascara is available in Superdrug and Boots and also local chemists and drug stores, which have high street make-up shelves for around £4.99. Although I have now graduated to a more exclusive mascara I used this one for a many number of years when I was younger. The reason why I used it was because my mum used it for years and years and like most girls, they always borrow their mums makeup and follow and copy what they are doing. Maybelline Great Lash mascara has been America's favourite mascara for over 40 years and as my mum is America I think this is probably why she always used this mascara and actually still does. There are so many different mascaras on the market, each becoming more and more elaborate than its predecessor and boasting more and more advantages and lash changing effects. But I have found that none are a better all round package than the simple and comparatively inexpensive Maybelline Great Lash Mascara. I had a night out coming up on the weekend and I was really in need of some new make-up although didn’t have much money to spare (I needed foundation, eye-liner and mascara), and only had a £10 to spare. This mascara has to be the perfect on budget mascara. I can personally say from experience that this mascara is worth every single penny. After trying one of the Maybelline mascara's I knew I just had to try another. This mascara creates the perfect daytime look. The mascara leaves an thin layer on your eyelashes which highlights your lashes whilst giving a more natural look. I have been using this mascara for about five years now. I had read about it in a magazine and decided to give it a go, and boy am I glad that I did. The name, Great Lash Mascara, is the perfect name as it does exactly what it says on the packaging. I am left with great looking lashes which are longer, thicker and darker. It does make my lashes noticably different but not stupidly over the top. This mascara is really easy to use, there's no having to put an extending base coat or anything first, it's just this one. Maybelline Great Lash mascara is not my all time favourite, but its pretty damn decent. i bought it because my others were running out and i happened to be in tescos! it was under a tenner, sorry, i cant remember the exact price, and is avaliable in shops that sell costmetics such as boots, superdrug, semi-chem etc. The bottle is a cute, girly pink colour and the 'lid' is a pleasant green colour. its not very sophisticated, and probably appeals to a younger consumer. the mascar brush itself is just a fibre wand, its quite widely separated which is great as my eye lashes never clump! the black ... more
