Maybelline Great Lash

I have been using this mascara for years and years now. I think I first tried it because many years ago I read in a magazine that it was a favourite of beauty editors and make up artists. I have tried many different types of mascara since but I always go back to this little gem. This is apparently the No. 1 mascara in the USA. I must have tried millions of mascaras over the years - always searching for the perfect one! One of the biggest problems that I have is that most makeup gives me allergic reactions severe enough that I end up looking all blotchy and resembling the bride of Frankenstein. I bought this a few months ago after reading quite a lot of positive reviews on it here. I wanted a cheaper mascara to use for work and during the day so I can save my Clinique one for weekends and night time (as its bloody expensive!) I'm sorry Great Lash fans but I have to bring the rating down; am I the only person who doesn't like this mascara? I understand that this is a very photogenic mascara and, on some people, provides a look that only false lashes can give. The formula is very wet thus much easier to build up layers and in turn make lashes more noticeable. However, for everyday use, this mascara really isn't that great.
