Want to have sexy looking lips, dripping with the look of gloss (well, maybe not 'dripping') alluring, wet looking lips, just like Kathy Kirby? No, I'm not showing my age, but I do remember her 'shouting from a highest hill' back in the 60's when I was just a wee thing. ...I found out from the Maybelline website that the diamond effect comes from tiny leaves of silver in the lipstick which reflect light. I must say though, looking at the advert, it does not make your lips as shiny as the models are. She is definitely wearing gloss on top of the lipstick. Packaged in the standard shape lipstick case but in a lovely pearlescent pink with a silver band i thought it looked pretty stylish. Okay - so I saw the adverts on the TV and in magazines promising a lipstick that gave amazing shine and gloss without the aid of any extra lip gloss. Not only that but the ads promised that the lipstick would leave virtually no sticky feeling and would actually moisturise lip too - wow!! I rushed out to my nearest Boots only to find a totally empty display, no lipsticks, not even any testers - this must be good... Off I trotted to another Boots ...
...there was a hoarde of women clambering to get to the few remaining lipsticks (I kid you not). Once I finally got to the front of the mob and grabbed the colour I wanted I found out that there was a special offer running that meant that if you bought the lipstick you also got a free cooling eyeshadow totally free saving you around £4.50 - this kept on getting better... I originally thought this lipstick was going to be a scam, like one of those lipsticks which look shiny for about a second. It was not my choice to get the lipstick actually, it was one of my Mum's rejects which she tried once then hated. Fortunately for me I liked it and now my Mum wants it back.
