Maybelline is a brand that is a bit hit and miss with me. I've bought products by maybelline that have been absolutely terrible but at the same time I've bought some products that have been really good. So when I saw it's 'Wonder Finish' foundation advertised in my favourite magazine announcing it had won an award for the 'best foundation of 2004', I wanted to try it but I was a little apprehensive. *** Wonder Finish Foundation ***
Wonder Finish ... ...flawless, natural look. It has a unique shake-up technology which mixes up the foundation to ensure a perfect, even coverage. Good for the skin it contains glycerin (maintains moisture levels), Vitamin E (acts as an anti-oxidant), and SPF 15 (which protects against the suns rays) and it comes in six different shades which are:
* Cameo
* Nude
* Ivory
* Fawn
* Sand
* Golden

...was never really keen about Maybelline products for the reason that they concentrate in manufacturing products aimed at light skinned people (white people). It's only recent when they decided to promote their production system in producing products that can be used by everyone including dark people (black people). Moreover, even when I noted this change I was still not interested. However, I just had to give them a chance, as I might be missing out ... ...(Maybelline wonder finish). Maybelline wonder finish is a foundation for the face which will turn from liquid to powder. Its job is to make your face look smooth and none-greasy as it does not have any oil in the ingredients. Not having oil in the ingredients suggests that you won't get any spots whilst using this product for the reason that oil is the main element in the world that causes natural spots. I came across Maybelline Wonder Finish Foundation when I was going on holiday and eeded to get a foundation quickly before I went, I wanted to try something new so when I was in Tesco's I picked this product up off the shelf. I have quite oily skin and suffer from mild- medium acne to I wanted something that wasn't going to clog my pores but at the same time wasn't going to come straight back off. The Product
Maybelline Wonder Finish ... ...or normal skin types, but I would advise using an oil free moisteriser before hand if you usually use one, I use OC Eight but I'm sure there are others on the market).
SPF15, prfect for popping in your bag for summer and because it's oil free it feels so light on your skin, like your not wearing anything, it's great. Goes on like a liquid but changes to a weightless powder, it's really easy to apply.
Contains a ball in the mixture which you shake ...

Advantages: Nice range of shades, Easy to use, Nice finish. Disadvantages: Can oxidise a little (turn darker on the skin). Not widely available anymore.
...my time in secondary school Maybelline was usually my brand of choice. It was cheap, easy to come by and generally consistent in quality. I loved their eyeshadows, lipsticks, mascaras (still do actually!) but most of all their foundations. Many other brands didn't carry shades pale enough for me but Maybelline was always there to save the day :-) I used a couple but "Wonder Finish" was always the favourite for me and my friends. Described as a 'liquid ... ...7 shades I think, though Maybelline don't tend to cater for darker skinned ladies too well which is a shame, so bare that in mind if you are thinking of trying foundations from them. With daily use I believe one of these probably lasted me about three months, which isn't bad at all considering the price. I applied over clean and well moisturised skin using my fingertips. Oh, perfect foundation, you elusive thing you. How many different things can go wrong?! There's that leathery effect you get when you opt for the deeper shade, or conversely, the pasty Victorian look. Some foundations make you look scalier than a lizard, whereas others prefer to open their own oil rig on your face. There's the foundation that covers naff all, and the caked-on mask type.
So, obviously you want to know what goes wrong with Wonder ... ...will tell you that we all have different skin, and what works for one lady may not work for another. My main issue with Wonder Finish is the ol' oil rig. This is my main issue with most foundations, because ones that do mattify make you look a bit sallow, and ones that don't just make you look sweaty. So I've got to be careful with this one. To use it you have to shake the bottle to activate, you can hear a clicking noise as you do this, then you twist off the top and put a small amount on your finger, about the size of your thumbnail, and dot it on your face ...

Advantages: sheer coverage, blends perfectly, natural look, oil-free, SPF-15, great price. Disadvantages: rather poor packaging, few colors to choose from.
To use this foundation, you shake it first. The consistency is very liquid, but it blends in perfectly. Provides a sheer and natural coverage, and I find that the colors are pretty good, although there aren't too many to choose from. Once on your face, it feels like you have nothing on! ...I'm a fan of Maybelline generally, and this product is superb. I've bought it twice now - each time it has lasted me for about 3 months, using it everday. Maybelline Wonder Finish foundation describes itself as a liquid to powder foundation, meaning that you don't have to use foundation as well. It comes in five shades - and I use the palest one - porcelain ivory (1). This suits my skin tone really well, but I can't comment on the other shades.
... ...it won't clog pores, is for all day wear, is non comedogenic, non-acnegenic, hypoallegenic, fragrance free and dermatologist tested. It is oil free. I would be prone to break-outs, and this product cetainly does not aggravate my skin or bring me out in spots.

I love love love this foundation!
It is the best foundation for oily skinned people on a cheap budget!
When applied with the easy droplet applicator it is a liquid, but once rubbed into the face, it sets like a powder!
It can be quite a strong warm colour, but over time you learn how much to apply to receive optimum coverage from the product.
It lasts for about 6 hours with a matte finish

Maybelline wonder finish is a liquid to powder foundation, it's oil free and SPF15.
When I saw this foundation in a shop I just had to buy it, oil free with a powder finish, perfect! I get shiny skin very easily so this foundation sounded wonderful.
Inside the bottle it has a mixing bead so you shake the bottle before you use it to activate it, but be careful as it's quite runny when it comes out.
I chose the ivory colour and it was a very good ... ...before applying as the powder finish can cling to dry skin.
The foundation is very easy to apply as it is of a thin consistency, a little bit goes a long way, and it dries quite quickly.
It gives very good coverage and a flawless finish.
I usually have to touch up my makeup with powder through the day, so I was pleasantly suprised to see that my skin still had a nice matt finish after over an hour, I didn't have to retouch it all day.

This is another foundation i have bought while on offer and wow.
Wonder finish it sure was i needed no face powder after putting this on which is an hard habbit to break but trust me you dont need to. It goes on really easy and a very even cover, leaves no marks or streaks.
Leaves your face looking very fresh, even and natural none of the yucky make up smell and look if you get what i mean. I was very impressed by the cover even over spots or dry ... ...very fresh and not dried out, to which i like. It also does not transfer on to clothing which is a plus with any foundation.
Comes off very easily and quickly which is nice after a late night
but sometimes i dont and there isnothing on the pillow the following day and it stills comes off easily.

When i purchased this foundation at boots for £5.99 i wasn't expecting much. The advertisments promised a lightweight, powder-like finish. I picked an ivory shade, the lightest they had to offer. I have pale skin but always choose something to give a little more colour. This time, i thought i would go for a lighter shade.
When i got home, i was dissapointed to find that, when applied in natural light it looked slightly orangey and looked cakey in ... ...Even though it feels light on your fingers don't make the mistake of putting a lot on. Remember, it does claim to turn powdery and a lot of powder= a very cakey face.
After my first attempt i tried again and turned out with a far nicer look. The key is blending.. put a little on a makeup brush or your finger and after blend with the middle of your finger.
If you need to break it up a little try rubbing your fingers over it to break the powder down. ...
