Bored of the same old food every day then try McCain’s micro pizzas, they come in a small rectangular box and only take 3 minutes to cook. *****WHAT FLAVOURS ARE There***** McCain’s micro pizzas come in four different flavours, ·Pepperoni ·Spicy chicken ·Ham and Mushroom and ·Cheese and tomato. My favourite is the pepperoni one. It is about 17cm by 9.5cm, it has a standard rectangular pizza base, tomato puree sauce, cheese and mini pepperoni pieces (about the size of a one pence piece). The box has easy to follow cooking instructions, nutritional information, storage instructions ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages Taste horrible, questionable ingredients, what the fork is that silver stuff?

I recently moved house. 'Orrible. Don't you do it, for I shan't, ever again. Horrendous experience. During the course of this nightmare, family Murphy spent two weeks with access to the following cooking facilities only: toaster; breadmaker; microwave. Argh. BeansOnToast-R-Us. After a few days of this gluten-heavy, flatulence-friendly diet, I was forced to admit defeat and with a heavy heart made my way over to the microwaveable ready meal aisle in Iceland. I-do-not-like-ready-meals. I-like-proper-food. Bah. Anyway. I moaned and whinged, Michael called me a snob (again), Conor and Kieran were ... more

Advantages Advantages Fast, not bad pizza

Disadvantages Disadvantages don't expect it in a top London Restaurant

Why am I reviewing this? Well, my mum decided to cook one the other day. But instead of pressing 2 minutes 30 seconds, she put it on for 2 hours, 30 minutes. After leaving it for a while she came back to billowing smoke from our microwave. Now I was under the impression that you couldn't burn anything in a microwave. Knowing my physics it seemed like a perfectly good answer. Thanks to our stinking kitchen, I have been proved wrong. And so on to the review: -------------------------------- Micro Pizza -------------------------------- Micro pizza is a rectangular strip of pizza. There's a good ... more

Tony steps back into the limelight to impress you people with his vast knowledge of pizza. In fact, I like to think of myself as more of a Pizza Scientist. The art of pizza cooking originates in that lovely country of Italy. Bases of flat bread covered in layer upon layer of tasty toppings. Being a nation of consumers who love other countries' food, McCain jumped on the Latin Bandwagon and decided to bring a new, instant concept to their pizza making. The British are Lazy. Full Stop. I admit to it and I also admit to making as little effort in the kitchen to get my desired result. I want food ... more

McCain Micro Pizzas are certainly not going to be to everyone's taste and you can hardly call them the best pizzas around either, but they do make an excellent snack when you are feeling too lazy to cook anything else. Two and a half minutes in the microwave and its ready to eat - simple. Pizzas are great lazy food anyway, but McCain have just made them better! There are a variety of different toppings available as well as the Pepporoni one under review here including plain cheese and tomato, spicy chicken, ham and mushroom and recently a special edition sweet chili pepper variety but I do not ... more

Advantages Advantages Edible If you like Carboard

Disadvantages Disadvantages It tastes like carboard with toppings

OK you may have guessed. I am not exactly a fan !!!!! !!!! There is a reason for this. It's like eating a cereal box spread with tomato ketchup and cheese and if you are very lucky you may get some slices of wilted pepporoni. It really is awful it would be so much easier to buy loaf of french stick and make yummy french bread pizza. I imagine it would be cheaper as well. Take a slice of french bread spread with tomato puree loads and loads of yummy cheese and whatever toppings you want and place under the grill till cheese bubbles. How simple is that. It is ok I guess if you are a student and ... more

Great these are for a quick meal, just wack them in the microwave and there almost down in a few minutes! Unlike mccains micro chips they don't come out of the microwave smelling and tasting of cardboard, they actually don't taste that bad, not very tomatieee but quite a bit of cheese and the pepperoni make it a nice spicey number you can wack in the micro after a night out or for a quick convienient junk food meal... I've got a pack of 6 and they can be freezed which is handy for fridge space! Really is a taste sensation and just wait til you try the cheese ones, you're mouth will water soooo ... more
