PACKAGING
These snacks come foil wrapped in packets of 2 biscuits, which is handy for lunchboxes, or for people who find it hard to stop eating biscuits once they’re open. The foil wrapping matches the colour of the box, either blue for plain, or red for forest fruits. Both boxes show the actual biscuit on the front, which is good, because otherwise I wouldn’t have ... ...is they are crispy biscuits with sultanas sandwiched inside, a bit like garibaldis, but with a yoghurt topping. They are available in plain or forest fruit flavoured, and for some reason, the fruit flavoured ones are lower in calories despite being a lot tastier!
LOOK AND SMELL
Once inside the beautiful foil wrappers, these look exactly the same as the picture on the box. They are very thin rectangles measuring about 1 inch by three inches (3cm ...

Advantages: Low fat, takes away food cravings, very delicious, Disadvantages: The yoghurt melts if you hold the biscuit in your hand for a long time.
McVities make different types of yoghurt breaks there are Tropical Fruit, Strawberry, Apple, Forest fruits etc. However I prefer Tropical fruit and Strawberry Yoghurt breaks. The tropical fruit is made up of a crunchy but soft biscuit which has some pineapples, sultanas etc between it and on top of the whole biscuit is a layer of yoghurt. These are the most delicious biscuits I have ever eaten I can't even explain the taste to you, so you really ... ...just saw a box of McVities "Go ahead" Tropical Fruit Yoghurt breaks opened. I had actually never seen them before so I just decided to try them out. My first bite was just amazing; when you chew on them it feels weird but nice because the biscuit is soft and crunchy at the same time. Unlike the Alpen bars these biscuits don't leave you thirsty at all maybe if you eat the whole pack of yoghurt breaks in one go, then maybe yes you could feel a little ...

...has the last one!
McVities Go ahead range has been around for a few years now and in my mind have been a bit hit and miss. They make such delights as the Strawberry Mallow cakes and Fruit and Nut crisp which are okay but not as nice as their calorie laden counterparts. They are okay if you are on a diet, but are totally boring if you are not. This is where I think the yogurt breaks differ.

^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*
McVities describe their Yogurt Breaks as ‘delicious yogurt flavour topping on a light crisp biscuit with a sultana and berry filling’. This is a pretty adequate description I think. They come in a box of 6 and each packet contains two biscuits. Great for sharing – I don’t think!
They come in two flavours: original and forest fruit. I have tried both and like the FF one the best. The FF biscuits come in an attractive ...

Advantages: Sweet, crispy, chewy -overallnice textures and flavours Disadvantages: Not healthier than an average biscuit
I am reviewing the 'Strawberry' flavour yogurt bakes through there are other flavours in the range such as: Plain, Raspberry, Blueberry, Tropical Fruits and Forest Fruits. You can purchase 'Go Ahead slices' which are exactly the same except they do not have the yogurt on the top. These ones are available in: Apple and Sultana, orange and Sultana and Forest Fruit.

The product is basically a Garibaldi biscuit (topped with yogurt) which are rectangular light, crispy biscuits dotted with currents ...

Advantages: Great taste and healthy for you Disadvantages: A bit too much packaging
I recently purchased some Strawberry go ahead yoghurt breaks. I have always enjoyed these and tried the range of flavours and so far strawberry is probably my favourite.

Inside of the box there are six packs of two yoghurt breaks with a similar design to the box following the green and red colour scheme. All of which are packaged in the plastic foil wrap.

...healthier low-fat diet according to McVities and the whole range which includes cakes and snacks are up to 97% fat free. The Go Ahead range is aimed at adults who snack as a part of life and don’t want to compromise their health.

...we all know how delicious Mcvities digestive biscuits are after all. But what makes these so different to any other cereal/health bar? Advantages: A very nice change Disadvantages: Does it realy count as a biscuit
I first tried one of these a while ago and although at the time didn't think it was exactly my cup of tea I decided to try them again this time with a cuppa. They come foil wrapped in a white wrapper and there are two quite large biscuits in each pack.
Each biscuit is 3cm wide and 8cm long approx and slightly less than .5cm high, although the size is by no means large that takes nothing away from the fact that these are a very surprising eat.
The ... ...a larger scale of bump, there appears to be pieces of fruit intertwined with the biscuit giving an overall impression that the biscuit is chewy. This is not the case the actual biscuit is quite crunchy, there is very little sweetness in the biscuit an what sweetness there was I believe comes from the fruit and the topping.
The topping is one of those things one is going to love or hate I think, and this time I've come down on the side of love, after ...

Go ahead yogurt breaks are part of my daily eating habit, I always have a pack at lunchtime after a sandwich or sometimes for breakfast if I'm in a rush of a morning, as I dont like missing breakfast. Advantages: Healthy and taste great Disadvantages: Not really enough
Having forced myself to go on a diet recently I decided to have a really good look round Tesco at the products I dont normally take much notice of. I have of course heard of the "Go Ahead" range before and had a few different option but up till now I had never really fancied these healthy yogurt breaks. If only because yogurt and biscuits did not sound like a very appealing mix.
However I was looking for something to replace my mid-morning bar of ... ...friend of mine swears by these so I went a-looking in Tesco. Sure enough in the healthy section they appeared with a lot of other foods I had not got round to trying. I opted for the tropical flavoured ones, with pineapple, currants, sultanas and mango, as this flavour suited me best (£1.28)
When I got them home I opened them to find 6 foil wrapped packs, each with 2 bars inside them. The packs states that there is only 2.0g of fat per slice and ...

...bought a pack of raspberry McVities go ahead yoghurt breaks recently because they were on offer. I'd always wondered what they had tasted like so decided to go ahead (aha) and see!
Well the box cost me 98p at the time, which was great value, but my recent purchase (as the offer finished) cost me £1.99 for six packs of two biscuits which isn't great value for money to be honest. At first I wasn't expecting much but still thought it was a good buy.

I also thought it's quite handy that they come in a two pack because it's a good thing for lunch boxes, one for break one for ...

Advantages: Healthy, Tasty, Edible, Enjoyable Disadvantages: Yogurt Coating Cracks and falls off over clothes
I don't mind participating to an 'eat healthily' campaign providing the food I am eating is edible and a little enjoyable, after all 'no pain, no gain' or in this case 'no pain, no loss'.

Advantages: Tasty, neatly wrapped, ready for a quick snack at any time. Disadvantages: Two in every wrapper
I first bought these to take on a picnic, and we really liked them. So I often pop a pack of two in my bag for a quick snack. We have the Forest Fruit variety which is tasty, though a bit on the sweet side.
They are supposed to be a healthy option so why they put two in a pack I don't know. We usually have one each so that's not too bad, but if I am on my own.....yes, you've guessed I eat both of them.
It says 2.0g fat per slice, and 68kcal per ... ...the small print. What about sodium(salt) -well .it says 0.1g per slice, but there is 6.7g sugars per slice. I have to say I was astounded at the very very small print giving the long list of ingredients and somehow they don't sound terribly healthy to me- such a long list for two quite small slim bars.
Well, we like these as a snack when we're out and about, but I don't feel too sure that they are actually healthy now. It also says Yoghurt flavour ...
