Beer, laughs and some medicine

Advantages: Friendly, both in and out of London
Disadvantages: Small, beer orientated at times

If anyone is still considering Medicine as a career, I would thouroughly recommend St Georges. I was visiting for an interview to use it as a backup choice, but as with most of my interview group, found it so friendly that I chose to go there despite its second class reputation at the time. Now it is accepted that Georges is as good as any of the london colleges, and rather better than many. Given that is is the friendliest college in the friendliest ...
...to boot, you'd be stupid not too. Also, link hospitals are spread throughout the country, so you can use placements to visit towns and cities throughout England if you wish, which also gives you more choices for jobs after qualification. The opportunities for intercalated BSc's are also better than at some other colleges, with slots in the 3rd/5th year at college, so the more academically minded are also catered for ...

St George's Hospital Medical School is good

Advantages: loads- see main text
Disadvantages: exams almost every term

The Pros Medical school is highly active in research, especially in the area of infections, and the cardiovascular system. The hospital is a large tertiary referral centre and one of the busiest hospitals in the NHS, hence allows a wide range of clinical case exposure.
