Advantages: Very portable, fast, reasonably inexpensive, 3 year warranty Disadvantages: Sound is not good. Battery life probably lowish.
Santa brought me one of these for Christmas (bought from Aldi £272). It's brill and came complete with a tiny Bluetooth adaptor and a good quality sleeve case. I find it very fast, comfortable to use and the screen is clear. The webcam is good for an integrated one. I think the sound is lousy and earphones will be used when necessary but thats not really a problem.
There isn't a DVD drive which doesn't particularly worry me as I can load MP4 movies ... ...the same way.
I wanted a portable machine cos whats the use of carting around some huge thing which weighs a ton? I have an excellent PC for all my heavy duty applications so this is for web-surfing, emails and showing off my photos when traveling. I have no idea how I would expand the memory. ...

Small, lightweight, easy startup, able to connect to wifi easily, network other computers and almost back to the level of using my current laptop.
3 Cell battery hence only 90 minutes of battery life.
Product made in China.
Advert said long battery life - not in this model ...

Quick review of Medion Akoya Mini E1210
i love the size of this notebook the only thing is does it have a disc drive and where is it located as i bought it yesterday 11/7/08 i havent really gotten into it yet but i would be grateful if someone could tell me can you watch dvd s on it the price isnt bad either but as i say a disc drive would be handy ...

Advantages: WLAN Disadvantages: 'bad customer support
Bought a Medion Akoya Mini E1210 for Christmas.
After about 3weeks it kept getting errors.
Kept on going on so i contacted Medion.
They said take it to the shop you got it from. I did and they said take it to medion.
They dont offer much support.
If i was you i wouldnt buy their products
They also said they would replace mine.
Said they would contact me back and never heard from them since.
They treat their customers in a very poor way.

...price tag, a very good bargain for someone with a low budget, wanting a machine for everyday use i.e internet surfing or just looking for an entry level model. you definatley can not go wrong with this model for the price, Medion akoya Mini, Mini by name, Mini by Price!! ...
