...for a cheaper option called Mellow Birds. The major difference with this and our normal brand was that we normally buy Kenco Granules and this jar of Mellow Birds was in the form of powder. Baa, I thought and decided to buy it anyway. I mean what is the worst that can happen?
Anyways, I get this coffee home and within 15 minutes it had been opened by Dad the Coffee Freak. He is not bothered in the slightest what coffee he drinks so all was OK there, ... ...what I can remember with Mellow Birds written all over it.
THE COMPANY
This coffee is made by Kraft Suchard Nestle I think. This company is also guilty of making popular cereals, expensive chocolate and the better tasting Kenco coffee, which happens to be my favourite.
OVERALL
Sorry, but this product gets a thumbs down from me with that rancid taste and the horrid smell. Don’t buy it. Go for a cheaper, but tastier Value coffee. Thanks for reading.

...rancid rancidity. Why call it mellow and why call it birds. Tis but neither! Should I venture on a quest to seek out persons with bad taste and enquire what their problem is and why they feel the need to poison their bodies, to churn their stomachs with such foulness?
If you ever feel the urge to get a packet of wood-chippings, mix it with water and add mustard, you will come close to knowing the taste of this coffee. Borg does not like, and will ... ...proclaimed that Mellow Birds would make you Smile. I feel an urge to erase certain words here and do a bit of cutting and pasting. ‘Mellow Birds will make you feel like retching.’
Okay, I realise that those of you who love this putridity will be groaning at me now and reaching with twitching fingers to the Helpful button. ‘Well, I like it!’ You might exclaim. Well, I don’t and this is just a review and my personal opinion ...

Advantages: very mild, cheap to buy Disadvantages: cannot think of any
...I am actually drinking is Mellow Birds Instant Coffee. It comes in a powder form and is indeed mellow.
PACKAGING

The packaging is simple, low cost looking. To me it looks quite old fashioned. The coffee comes in your usual glass jar and it has a blue lid. The label around the outside shows a blue mug of coffee with the name Mellow Birds written across it in yellow.
TASTE AND SMELL
----------------------------
This is a very ... ...word mellow in the name but I have no idea where the birds part came from. The coffee smells, to me, just like any other. It is quite a strong smell considering how mild the taste is which I find surprising.
OTHER INFO

When using this to make a cup of coffee the powder dissolves really easy and I find I never have to stir it in.
As well as powder it comes in a granules form. I have never tried the granules so I do not know ...
