Disadvantages Disadvantages Taste at times.Boring to some.

(Before some pedants comment that this opinion should be in the health category, it was after submission to ciao that it be included together with other waters in the beverage category.) .................................................................................... Few of us realise just how important water is in our diet and even less of us will know that a shortage of it can lead to so many health problems. We all get thirsty and have to drink. If we do not then dehydration will set in eventually, however the early signs of it are often overlooked in everyday life and not acted upon ... more

This was sent to me by e-mail, so I'm not sure just how accurate some of the "facts" in it are, but I thought it might be worth posting anyway... Frankly I'm fairly unlikely to post another "Member Advice on Drinking Water" anyway! WATER 1. 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated. (Likely applies to half world population.) 2. In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is often mistaken for hunger. 3. Even MILD dehydration will slow down one's metabolism as much as 3%. 4. One glass of water shut down midnight hunger pangs for almost 100% of the dieters studied in a ... more

Advantages Advantages Improved concentration, better skin, higher metabolism, etc etc

Disadvantages Disadvantages You have to wade through this op in order to read about the benefits!

Drinking water isn't the most exciting of things, I admit, but it is vital, and I am trying to encourage you into drinking more of it. I read in a newspaper today that 42% of people in Britain are dehydrated - absolutely shocking, and I'm not being sarcastic! But so what, why is being dehydrated bad for you, I hear you say? Do you want a list?! Oh, go on then... Being dehydrated: • slows down your metabolism, meaning you burn off fat less quickly • causes headaches and lack of concentration • gives you bad breath • causes dull skin and can worsen dryness and oiliness • stops nutrients being ... more

    Advantages Advantages Keeps you healthy.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Makes you pee loads.

Drinking plenty of water per day may sound as boring as watching paint dry, but the benefits of doing so far outweigh any of the downfalls. This review seeks to explore these, to in turn hopefully get you the reader to drick more of it! Experts say that you need to drick 2 litres of water per day, in order for your body to stay healthy. It not only maintains your kidneys at a high standard by flushing them through, but also helps in keeping your skin looking/ feeling healthy. By drinking plenty of water, it can also stop you from becoming dehydrated. When you are dehydrated, then the rest of ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None.

As a nurse, I am fully aware of the benefits of drinking plenty of water. And in my own personal experiences, drinking 2 litres a day is the best thing that I ever started doing. Not only does it keep your kidneys in shape (meaning that you won't have to spend years on dialysis as a renal patient!), it also has more beneficial sides to it. It helps to keep you in shape (believe it or not), and also helps to keep your skin looking and feeling healthy. So forget all these expensive creams and facial lotions - just drink plenty of water! I also found that in my own personal experience that when I ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages you can die of drinking impure water

If you think of your health, the first thing you should know is that what goes into your stomach should be the very first thing to care of. Especially drinking water. There are a good number of diseases you can get from drinking impure water like what the people of Zimbabwe are facing today from the Cholera epidemic because there's lack of good water and it really kills. If you are not able to buy bottled water, try boiling water in your home and have a water filter to filter this for you before you can even drink. You should never go somewhere and drink water from where you don't know the ... more
