Member Advice on Internet Addiction

I have been away from Ciao and the Internet as a whole for the last three weeks in an attempt to wean myself off the Net which whilst forming a large part of my work, was also taking over my life. For this reason I have not been active on Ciao recently. Internet addiction is a state where you just can’t get enough of the internet. You might get withdrawal symptoms if you don’t use the net for even a day. The worst part of this addiction is that you might not even know that you are addicted to the net. Internet Addiction can take many forms. In my personal experience it was the chatroom that was my downfall(or maybe not). I put it down to loneliness at the time. I was alone with 3 kids and no self esteem whatsoever. I discovered the internet was a fascinating medium which I then found hard to believe that all this information was at my finger tips by simply typing in some key words. Amazing!
