My Three English Roses!

AdvantagesLooks nice, sexy and attractive (for some)

DisadvantagesOnce you have 'em they can never be removed

"...person’s authority as a group member or his role in that group. As far as I know, in Christianity there are no issues on the subject, and no objections. In Islam and Judaism having a tattoo is prohibited. A Muslim may not have a tattoo as it is changing God’s creation as mentioned by prophet Mohammad (Hadith); the Torah likewise forbids body modification or markings. == So, WHY DID I WANT ONE (I MEAN THREE!)? And where did I go? == The years ..." Read review

A tattoo is for life not just for Christmas!!! Review with images

"When I was a little girl, I used to mither my mum all the time for money so I could go to the shop to buy some sweets. Whenever they were on sale I used to buy the Chewing gums that came wrapped in a tattoo. You know the ones were you put water on them and they come off onto your skin, I would walk around covered in them. I loved having these tattoos all over my arms and I showed them off proudly. I remember my mum saying one day "they will be the ..." Read review

"Tattoo - "A tattoo is a marking made by inserting indelible ink into the dermis layer of the skin to change the pigment for artistic, ritualistic or other reasons. Tattoos on humans are a type of decorative body modification, while tattoos on animals are most commonly used for identification or branding" (Wikipedia:'11) I thought i would write a review on tattooing as it is something that is apparent in my life at the moment and is also something ..." Making Your Mark...

Advantages They last a long time, they can look good, it's your body so decorate it

DisadvantagesThey last a long time, they can look appalling, some people don't like them, make sure you get one because you want one, they do blur over time

"Tattoos are one of the oldest forms of personal decoration. They've been used to identify people with various organisations, to make people look attractive or simply as a rite of passage. Even today all that stands, but they're now also used as a fashion accessory. I always swore when I was younger I'd never get one, and my dear old nan thought people who had tattoos were thugs. That all changed in 1999 when I got a small Ankh tattooed above my ..." Read review

Tattoo Or Not Tattoo Review with images

AdvantagesCan Look Good, Self Expression

DisadvantagesPotential Cost, Pain, Some People Take Offence, Pain, Pain!

"I have been to the tattooist yesterday and managed to get an old tattoo covered up with a new and improved one! Here is my advice on getting a tattoo. ***History*** Tattoos are one of the oldest forms of self-expression known to man. Many are used in tribal ceremonies and in the last century were also used as a means of identification (in WW2 by an evil man). Nowadays, many people get a tattoo as a form of self-expression. It may be patriotic, ..." Read review

"Right. Here I am, talking about tattoos. I think I am quite qualified as I have 4 of them: - armband on the right arm (done in 1997) - tribal circle on the left calf (done in 1998) - tribal design on the inside of my right forearm (done in 2002) - tribal - japanese mixed sleeve on my left arm (yes the whole left arm)(done in 2003). A BIT OF CULTURE ********************** The word tattoo comes from the Tahitian "tatu" which means "to mark ..." Read review

The long path to the perfect tattoo.

AdvantagesWill help you make the right choices.

DisadvantagesCan take a while.

"I really love tattoos and in fact all forms of body art. I think it is a great way to express yourself and it can help you love bits of your body you hate. They are definitely not for every one and aren't the kind of thing that should be entered into lightly which is why I decided to write this op. I would like to point out that I am not an expert, I know my stuff but no where near as much as an ESTABLISHED, COMPETANT tattooist. It is good to ..." Read review

Tattoo's! Review with images

Advantagescan look fantastic, sentimental and a never ending list to choose from

Disadvantagesa little pricey!

"Love them or hate them, tattoo's are everywhere these days. I don't really know where my tattoo "obsession" came from as my family all hated them! All I know is that as soon as I could get one I wanted to, in fact I had my first done when I was just 17. So, what is a tattoo? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wikipedia states "A tattoo is a marking made by inserting indelible ink into the dermis layer of the skin to change the pigment for decorative reasons." On ..." Tattoo or not to tattoo...that is the question.

Advantagescan look nice and are individual

Disadvantagesthey are perminent and can be regretted

"I have two tattos, they are perminent,I dont regret them and I've had them for a long time. Despite my being very fond of my tattos there are many aspects to having one and much thought should be given before you decide to go ahead. ***Things to think about*** Having a permanent tatto can be fun, decorative and an excellent piece of art,but are you going to want to see a spider on your hand when you are working as a waiter,or when you are 70 ..." Clever Pun Missing Due To NTL Problemo

AdvantagesSmiles!

DisadvantagesBe grown up about it, eh?

" I have a daisy chain. My daisy chain is fourteen years old now. Fancy that. I must be getting old, because it doesn't seem very long ago that I had it done. It seems that Conor, who's eight, has been around far, far longer than my little daisy chain. When I look at it I smile (I smile when I look at Conor too, of course, but in a different way, you know). It's fading just a tiny bit now (Conor, and Kieran of course, shine brightly all the time), ..." Read review

AdvantagesGood to look at, can be unique.

DisadvantagesPricey, can turn out wrong, risk of infection.

"I had wanted a tattoo for AGES and the minute i turnt 18 I practically shot down to the tattoo parlour and after all the waiting, since I was about 16, the noise of the needle was too much for me and I ended off running off! I spend the next few months browzing sites for information on the pain and different designs and it wasn't till a good year later I FINALLY managed to pluck up thte courage to get my first tattoo. Till Death Do Us Part

AdvantagesVery attractive body art, can give you more character, is unique to you, can design your own, isn't too expensive, doesn't take long to be carried out.

DisadvantagesThe end result may not be perfect, risk of infection, are very expensive to have removed, your mind can change.

"If you were to look at me and guess how many tattoo's I have, what would your answer be? Apart from my Dad (or anyone who remembered an 'all about me' challenge) I think most of you would get it wrong! Now, I know that everyone has a different idea and opinion on tattoo's from the next person, but here is my thoughts and views which I wish to share. (also with some important background information) I got my first tattoo very aware that the ..." Read review

Boris.... and the Web of Deceit

AdvantagesBeautiful and unique designs, easy after care

DisadvantagesCan be expensive for large or intricate designs, possible regrets in later life, black 'henna'

"Boris is my friend. He goes everywhere with me, he has done since we met in June last year. People say we’re joined at the hip, but that’s not exactly true. To be precise we are joined on the right side of my lower back. Just in case you missed the category of this review and you are wondering what the hell I’m on about, Boris is my tattoo. A small blue spider with mauve legs and pink boots. Why did I name him Boris? In fact why did I name him ..." Read review

Thrill The Pain

AdvantagesMakes you stand out and be different

DisadvantagesRegrets

"On this opinion you'll be getting a procedure/step-to-step guide on how a tattoo is done. I hope this will help you decide and give you an idea on what is to be expected so then you won't have to go into the tattoo studio wondering what exactly is going to happen, you'll have a pretty good idea and hopefully you'll be more relaxed knowing what is to come. So far I have 12 tattoos and the more I have one done the more addictive it becomes, but be careful ..." Read review
