    Disadvantages Disadvantages Killing innocent soul, can also cause permanent damage to the mother and can destroy relationships.

    I never thought that I would ever write about this very sensitive, complicated and thorny issue. As a matter of fact it wasn't even one of the main subjects that interested me or that I even cared about - not until a few months ago when I met one of the victims of ABORTION! Yes, in this case, not only is the baby the victim; the mother is too!     Advantages Advantages A difficult decision but everyone is in different circumstances.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages There's no going back if terminating.

    There But For The Grace Of God Go I...Or You...Or You! Abortions of up to twenty- four weeks are legal in the United Kingdom. It take two doctors to agree before an abortion can take place. The criteria is that if there is considered to be a greater risk to the woman's mental or physical health if she carries on with the pregnancy than by terminating it, then this procedure can go ahead. Also, social circumstances are taken into account, so, in reality, just about any woman can find grounds to have an abortion.     I wasn’t sure whether to write about this or not but I thought i would for two reasons, firstly, to help me deal with this by getting it all out and secondly to help others who are ever faced with this decision. Also another point, I’m not here to change anyone’s mind nor looking for sympathy intentionally.     Where do you start on an opinion, that is a very emotive subject, one that most people have a viewpoint on, a subject where there is very little middle ground and basically you are either for or against it? I'll nail my colours to the mast right now and say I am pro choice, that I have actively campaigned for a woman's right to choose.     I am 24 now, and this review concerns something that happened when I was 18, so we are going back a bit. I will try to remember as much details as possible. It is not something easy to forget.     When I was just turned 15 I found out I was pregnant and it was the most confusing thing and possibly one of the hardest I have ever had to deal with in my entire life, and I can honestly say now I'm 19 I'm still not sure I made the right choice and it still haunts me every minute I'm alone to think. At first I was hysterical about it but I had help I was at the time in a stable relationship so we went to Brooks to try and sort the problem.     Before I gave birth the 2 children I am so thankful and lucky to have today, I was pregnant with my first daughter. It's taken a lot of thinking before deciding to write this, but I feel it's important for anyone else going through the same thing, or similar, to know that it DOES happen to other people, and given time, you WILL be able to cope with it better. When I first found out I was pregnant I was ecstatic, because it took so long for it to happen, and when I was 18 weeks I went for the required unltrasound scan.     What I want to talk about is not the right or wrongs of abortion but the way other people react to you. I have had two abortions and without going into too much detail the first one was when my daughter was about two years old. I went for my 12 week scan to be told that my baby had died inside me, now some will argue that this was classed as a miscarriage but I didn't miscarry I had to go into hospital and have it removed. This is on my medical records as abortion number one. Everyone was sympathetic up to a point but we got the same responses from most people, things like "At least you've ... more

    I have four lovely sons. It would have been five if I had gone ahead and had my very first child fourteen years ago. I obviously didn’t I have to admit I had an abortion. This was not a way out, and should not be viewed as such when any woman makes this decision. It is not an easy option, and this is a very highly emotive subject.
