Banking For Dummies
Review of Members Advice on Student Bank Accounts by zoe_page

Advantages: Free accounts which offer bonuses and freebies
Disadvantages: You're only expected to have one, so you need to know which to choose

Most students are reasonably clever. They’ve been to school for a fair number of years, and most (though as the news is happily telling us, not all) will have A Levels or equivalent before they arrive at university. But there’s a difference between the knowledge you get from book-learning, and the real world stuff you need to pick up in order to survive. I was astounded by the number of my friends who, until leaving home, didn’t ... Read review

Stand and Deliver your money or your life
Review of Members Advice on Student Bank Accounts by PERFIDIOUS

Advantages: can't think of any right now

Disadvantages: None

It seems many banks are all to keen to sign you up with extra incentives but thats where it stops. As soon as you have a few money worries, the fees get whacked on and you are treated like a second class citizen. For the ... Read review

THESE PEOPLE ARE RAKING IT IN
Review of Members Advice on Student Bank Accounts by PAULLIVERPOOL

Advantages: low interst rates on overfradts
Disadvantages: too little overaft facilities available

In my opinion student bank accounts are useless. Its ok when your putting money in, but when your taking it out they dont want to know. Being a student can be a hard life, trying to better our careers but having to lice on a shoe string budget its just not on. I tried to increase my overdraft limit today from 1.250 to 1.750 only £500 increase. I was refused by a senior advisor and told that I should watch what I spend and that having looked at ...
