With the benefit of hindsight, I'd have waited till they got it right with the 2006 model and to anyone considering buying one secondhand, I'd say avoid the electronic toys. ...

...I say? My second Mercedes and now 2 years old and NOTHING has ever gone wrong with it. It has ample room for 5 large adults to travel in luxury and still returns a steady 39 mpg average peaking at 47 mpg on a run. Don't let anyone tell you the 2.2 diesel is unrefined - it will haul the car along without complaining in any way at all. Most passengers don't even realise it's a diesel. For me this is the best car I've ever run and long may it remain. ...
