Well I needed an upgrade from my previous car that apart from the fact that it was a bit girl-y it was also falling to bits. So I decided to ante up and went for the full testosterone upgrade and got a c180. It is P reg one so is almost 10 years old but it is a Mercedes and you can see it. FIRST...

Quality

Boot Space

When they told me I had a C180 Classic as a company car I was a little underwhelmed. I had images of a very very basic car. When I took delivery of it I was very impressed. The things that hit me first was the feeling of build quality. It seemed to have had many years extra design time spent on...

Niggling failures,Poor extras

I purchased a white C180 Elegance in Feb this year. It was an N reg 96 model. I have paid out too much for the short time I've had it though. Firstly two weeks after I had bought it I purchased a set of new alloys for it at considerable cost. I took them with the car to a local garage to fit the...

Good looking car, nice to drive

Interior not up to normal mercedes standard

I've been driving a C180 classic for 2 years now as a company car. It's a good looking car I think, and a viable alternative to the masses of BMW 3 series on the roads. The car drives well and gives a smooth quiet ride. However I've had a rattle coming from the drivers air vent, ever since I took...

Mercedes c180 '94 petrol manual, 150k on the clock (owned for 4 months) Mercs are class apart! Very good for its age. A very reliable engine! I did around 1000 miles in one trip in less than 15 hours and the engine showed no sign of fatigue. The maximum it can go is 110 miles/hour. Not very fast...

The world's worst car? Could it be true? It could well be. This is my company car. It's terrible. I got it new four years ago, so it's the old design. The car is very well insulated. In fact, it's so well insulated that the windscreen ir PERMENTANTLY covered in condensation. Then you decide to...

My dad has recently purchased a merc and it is the C180 and i just thought i would write an opinion on how quality it is! The leather interior that it contains is top notch and really comfortable!! I mean lasting a 12hr journey in it was easy! The CD player which comes standard with it is...

Build quality.

Small boot, can understeer round corners.

I got this car through work (2000 Y reg)and I had no problems with my C180 Automatic. It is virtually effortless to drive. Just point and press. The size of the engine means it takes a while to get away from the lights but once it's on the motorway it's in it's eliment. Although I had the entry...

I now have an Nreg Merc C180 I bought privately but not before an unfortunate run in with an outfit called Merecedes Direct. Since I want a certain amount of reassurance, I had been visiting Mercedes ' UK site's used car section which usually links directly to the dealer. However, occasionally...

I drove a C180 for six months recently and was exceptionally pleased with the total package that this car provided. The Mercedes C180k has excelled its predecessors as one of the best cars i have ever driven. Bought brand new i was able to enjoy the car as a new experience, it provided me with a much needed breath of fresh air from my other poor choices in cars before The c180 is such an excellent car for a...

looks nice

more in the garage than at the road

The total steering build quality is from my point of view more than bad, its crap. I think that the bushings are not worthy a car of this status. And if this isn't enough the rear end is even worse the car feels like a rocking boat. Having discussed the poor build quality with the dealer were I...
