Advantages: Comfort, dashboard, engine, build quality Disadvantages: Badly thought out reverse gear on manual gearboxes
...the UK that have a Mercedes with a manual gearbox. I've owned both manuals and autos and prefer manuals. This gearbox is nice and smooth in its action, but reverse is attained by pushing the stick harder to the left than you would to get 1st. There is no safety mechanism such as a collar to be engaged first. So, sorry to the driver of that CRX at the lights coming out of Sainsburys who must have thought he was point to get punted back into the store.

Advantages: Mercedes Badge Disadvantages: sluggish and difficult to get in and out of back
For the money that I paid for this just over 1 year ago which was around £20,000 I was very dissappointed. At first I was quite pleased with the gadgets, all the electric windows, wing mirrors, heated seats, 6 Cd changer, cruise control and on board computer. I had the pre-wiring for my phone and it was great to be able to put people on loudspeaker while driving etc. But basically the car itself was sluggish. It feels heavier than what it is, slow ... ...of fuel. The back is extremely difficult to get in and out of and the seat belts on the front seats continually get caught behind the seats every time you put the seats forward to let someone in or out. The visibilty when looking behind is not too good. It is not very comfortable on long journeys. I got into my friends 12 year old Saab recently and realised that it was actually more pleasant to drive than my Mercedes, which suggests to me I wasted ...
