...Would you consider the latest Mercedes S Class saloon? It would take a brave person to spend that sum of their own money on a luxury car, would they get value for money, would it live up to expectations & would you get satisfaction from it?
My experience of the new Mercedes 320 S class came quite recently, a 60 mile drive in one & a 60 mile return trip as a passenger, if you want to find out how the ‘other half’ live & drive, read on.

For that sum of money you get a choice of petrol or diesel models with various levels of luxuries although I do find it hard to believe there is a £92.695 price difference between the basic & top of the range models. Review of Mercedes S320
Advantages: Styling, equipment, seats, space Disadvantages: no CD player as standard
The S320 is the best S-Class model. It's got a decent sized engine and it's not too expensive at £50,000. It is also well equipped. The 3.2 litre V6 can almost do 150mph (whereas the very expensive £88,000 S600 model is limited to 155mph). The S320 will do 0-60 in 8.2 seconds, which is good for a car weighing almost two tonnes. Fuel consumption is O.K. too. As in all Mercedes, the build quality is excellent, it's refined and the seating is comfortable ...

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class has been dubbed and anounced the bestt car in the world by most of the Motoring Press, not just in the united kingdom but all around the world. Amongst its fans is Quentin Wilson, from the BBC motoring magazine program 'Top Gear'.
From its sleek lines to its ... ...of its own. Its got gizmos bursting out of its gorgeous shell, from AIRmatic and Brake Assist to ESP andParktronic. Not only are there rain sensors which switch on the wipers but they it varies the speed depending on how much it is raining.
This car really is amazing. It looks like a limosine, yet it handles like a sports car, well its pretty damn close. But its not until you see one in the... metal, that you really are astounded by its beauty. ...

Advantages: Big, spacious, dominant, beast of a vehicle yet elegent. Disadvantages: A little large, but that's what some people will buy it for!
We bought ours in 1996/7 for au$200,000+ (around 80,000+ Uk Pounds in today's exchange rate) and it has been a terrific vehicle, a masterpiece of engineering and class. It is like the Kind of the road, large, powerful and luxurious. It is a heavy car but has an enigine with enough power to throw it around. We've avoided one or two crashes simply due to it's manuvrability at speed, not something you'd expect from such a chunky vehicle. The interior ... ...of years old, it is certainly not out of date and beats the interior facilities of most of the present new cars hands down. It is extrememly spacious with big seats and the boot is big enough to hold a years worth of shopping. This is a powerful vehicle but if you're hoping not to stand out, this is not the vehicle for you. It's certainly not a show toy but it's not discreet either.
