Advantages: Highly respected, classy cruiser, well equipped Disadvantages: Image is wrong unless you're old and fat
...the road, however, is the Mercedes S-Class. "Hold on!" I hear you cry, "what about the Rolls Royce?" Well yes, you probably have a point there, but how many times do you hear a motoring journalist whittle on about the S-Class? To see what’s going to be on your car in ten years time, they say, take a look at today’s Mercedes S- Class... And they’re right. What could only be found on an S-Class twenty years ago is bog standard on a Ford Fiesta today, ... ...on the clock, affording a Mercedes S-Class just gets a little bit easier. Take the 2002 model Mercedes S320 CDi, for example. At five years old, this is a steal of a car: costing over £50’000 brand new, today you can pick one up for less than £20’000.
To look at, the S-Class is luxury redefined. The exterior of the car simply exudes success without being brash about it, unlike some other Mercedes-Benz models. Silver is the best colour for this car, ...

Advantages: Luxury, Style, Performance Disadvantages: Expensive, Big
My boss at my previous job owned one of these so i was used to driving it around the site and up and down the road, so this is just what its like to drive, NOT own, im only 18!!! well this s320 was fully loaded with extras including chrome wheels! to drive it was really smooth especially considering its a diesel, no way can you tell, its just so quiet. Everything about this car is luxurious from the keyless start and interior showed that this was ... ...size of it it is really quick and smooth and quiet when you floor it, no usual diesel roar as is common when you floor most diesel car, plus it feels like your hardly moving the ride is so smooth.
On the negative side its a big car so parking can be awkward especially when you are paying so much for it and dont want to scratch the paint!!

Advantages: Comfort and ease of driving Disadvantages: Big and expensive
I drove this car for the first time yesterday and although I was impressed by its economy (showed 36 mpg better than my E300 ever did!), how quick it was, comfortable and easy to drive, I don't think it has anything to offer me over the E320CDi Elegance.

It is a nice car to drive and fantastic economy ... ...but then I was happy with the E320 Elegance. My E300 wasn't as good as these cars but then at 5 years old, I wouldn't expect it to be.
Personally, I would go for the E320CDi Elegance estate over this car but then its image that sells the S class more than anything. My advice is test it before you even think about buying it but make sure you take a look at the E class as well. ...

Advantages: good economy , superb build quality ,reliability Disadvantages: lot of optional extras inflate price
I bought my S320CDi new and collected it from the factory which was a great experience and costs you nothing as it is covered by the UK delivery charge. The car has been better than my highest expectations for example on delivery it gave me a pleasant surprise as it comes with double glazing as standard , a fact not even mentioned in the brochures. It is extremely economical , very comfortable and the build quality superb. After 125000 miles it drives ...
