    My old computer was something of an antique and when it started suffering from overheating problems and random freezes it was time to bite the bullet and buy something a little more up to the task. *Who to go to?* Mesh had been recommended to me by a couple of friends and in my opinion they were up there with the likes of Dell when it came to online retailers of computers. Like Dell you won't find Mesh on the high-street, they're the retailer that people that know go to. In fact the high street had already let me down so it was down to the professionals.     This is an honest account of my experience of Mesh Computers Ltd. On the 2nd December 2008 I placed an order on-line for an Xtreme Pro I7-920. The desktop computer arrived on the 30/12/2008 by DHL courier service. The box was in good condition and I signed for the goods. When the box was opened and the desktop computer inspected I soon discovered that it was not of a satisfactory quality. The system box was bent and not assembled correctly.     I bought a mesh computer, looking back I have to say, it was the worst decision I ever made. The computer simply didn't work! As soon as I turned it on, it would last about 5 seconds, then just crash! There customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with. You call them, they take your details, then they ask you to wait around all the following day so they can call you back. So you take the day off work waiting for them to get back to you, if they do, their advise is pathetic, and I mean pathetic!!     Disadvantages Disadvantages They lie about delivery times, refuse to make any contact leaving desperate customers in the lurch

    I want to stress this review is about the company and its customer service, not about its products. Why? Because I still haven't got the product I paid £800 for! I ordered my computer after getting a quote from their website. I didn't go ahead but got an e-mail from a sales guy saying he could take my order over the phone and give me a further £60 discount. I phoned and asked a few questions. My most important one was 'How long will it take to be delivered?' as I was in urgent need. The answer was 'One and a half to two weeks.'     Having had a Mesh computer before, in the late 90s, and after the end of competitor Evesham, I ordered a customised Matrix PC from Mesh. I tried to downgrade the graphics card to a cheaper model during the online order process on their website, which wasn't possible, so I contacted one of their sales agents via the chat tool, and got offered the initial configuration with the better graphics card for a £50 discount, after which I placed my order.     Disadvantages Disadvantages bad workmanship, worse repairing skills, awful customer service

    My experience with Mesh has been simply awful. I received a machine with an on button that stuck in constantly. Sometime later the sound gave in. Then the real fun began. I was horrified to learn that the only way I could notify them of the problem was to ring an 0891 no. So they're earning money from customers who are ringing to say their in warranty machines have broken. I'll leave you to decide what you think about this. They then refused to come out and fix it, and wouldn't pay to have it collected from my door / delivered. So I was making all the running to get the machine fixed. No ... more

    After reading plenty of reviews, mostly bad, I was happy to receive my Mesh ICE 5 750CS on Saturday (DHL tried to deliver Friday, but wasn't home so I picked up). As with most things, angry/unhappy people are more vocal, so I'm making a point of writing a short review to represent some happy customers. The machine arrived well packed and started up fine. The 24" screen is pretty awesome, I have a 32" 720p in my room and now it's pretty hard to choose which to watch films on as the full HD of the computer monitor is extremely visually pleasing.     Having looked around at computer shop, but not seeing exactly what I wanted, I found an advert for Mesh computers. On their website I designed my computer and they quoted me the price. I accepted (3rd week of Nov:) When my computer did not arrive within the time that I was told, I then contacted then. They said that the computer would be sent out in a few days (13 Jan:) When I didn't get my computer that week I contacted them again, they said not to worry, it would be sent out in a couple of days.     I bought my Mesh computer three years ago after having read all the reviews thinking it would be a reasonable product. Having paid the best part of £1400 for it, I am bitterly disappointed to have it die on me two weeks out of guarantee. The cooling fan on one of the chips on the motherboard seized, resulting in the chip melting. The customer service has been non-existant. When I first called to get help, I got the usual advisor on the other end who was difficult to understand (I don't know if this was a foreign call centre) and the advice I was given turned out to be completely wrong anyway ... more

    I recently ordered a Matrix Nero for my business that I run from home - wanted something cheap and cheerful. So far so good, I haven't run into any of the usual problems in buying a new PC - everything just works as it should! Found that the Mesh website was great - was easily able to customise my computer with a bigger harddisk which is exactly what i wanted. I didn't need a monitor so their website allowed me to downgrade and save money - very cool :). Delivery was on time for me, and the sales staff were generally helpful with my queries.
