Advantages Advantages Refined Gameplay, Epic Boss Battles

Disadvantages Disadvantages "Back and forth" exploration not for everyone

Back in 2002, Retro Studios accomplished the daunting mission of reviving one of Nintendo's most successful properties, Metroid, and transitioning its iconic 2D gameplay into the realm of 3D. With that out of the way, it's a pretty fine line between breaking and improving the solid foundation and it's on that line that "Metroid Prime 3: Corruption" tries its balancing act. How does it fare? ***The Story*** The protagonist of the Metroid series is Samus Aran, a Bounty Hunter gifted with an incredible Power Suit designed by a phenomenally advanced and mysteriously extinct race known as the Chozo ... more

Advantages Advantages A massive action adventure with a strong storyline and some great boss fights.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Lack of online play and pacing may seem slow for people who want a pure shooter.

Introduction Metroid is a long running series of computer games dating back to 1987 on the Nintendo Entertainment System. Originally a 2D platform game it introduced the character of Samus Aran, an armour clad bounty hunter, in a series of galaxy spanning adventures. After a hiatus of a few years, Nintendo handed the franchise over to the developer Retro Studios who re-imaged it in glorious 3D for the GameCube as Metroid Prime. After a sequel, Echoes, this third and final part of the series was released for the Nintendo Wii. Gameplay If you've played any of the other Metroid Prime games you'll ... more

METROID PRIME 3 CORRUPTION story line In my view I think the story line to the eagerly awaited finale to end the Metroid prime series has a fantastic back bone which entrails mystery and drama. from my point of view norion just sets the whole game as an exiting, mysterious and addictive thing when I finally complete this game ill be so proud because it will be such a well earned achievement. the new phazon addition to the game is an exiting new featurette, dark Samus Aran worries me more than ever before it was a shocker when she shot a phazon beam straight at Samus and her temporary ... more

Advantages Advantages Awesome game. See the period at the end? That was purposeful.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Sadly, no grenades. : (

Metriod Prime is the conclusion to an epic series from nintendo. It is by far the best FPS on the wii, and probably the best game on the wii. The story is amazingly detailed, the enemies present a challenge, and the graphics are the finest I have ever seen on a wii game. The story. Samus Aran wakes up, on her faithfully awesome spaceship, heading towards the spaceship OLYMPUS. From there, the game progresses into an space pirate attack, explosions, save the universe, etc. plot. But the way it is told keeps you on your toes, hoping and praying your not the only good guy left. Superior voice ... more

Advantages Advantages Excellent gameplay and graphics

Disadvantages Disadvantages No online wifi play

This is a beautiful game. The graphics are excellent as usual for metroid. The gameplay is great- the story for this metroid game is just as good as all the others. Fairly easy to pick up and play, and will appeal to all ages. However, there is no wifi play, or even multiplay. This is a real letdown. Metroid prime: Hunters on the ds was virtually made by the online play. It could have taken the title as "first online FPS on the wii", however for some reason the decision was made to make it single player only. This is still good, but puts it down from the best metroid game ever to just another ... more

Advantages Advantages Classic Metroid gameplay, with new responsive controls and brilliant graphics

Disadvantages Disadvantages can become tedious, may be confusing in where to go

While Nintendo sees Mario and Zelda as its epitamy of gaming glory, the Metroid series has brought dark, deep action to the Nintendo consoles. In the past, Metroid on the gamecube have been undoubtedly some of the greatest games to shine from the 500 games. Nintendo has made no regressions, and number 3 is better than ever. Wandering distant worlds, battling aliens and cracking mysterious codes is all brought to the Wii in the latest installment. The Wii remote allows quik and edgy gameplay, thrilling the nerves and delighting the dark side of the brain. Though this game can become tedious and ... more
