Pretty, but with a few flaws.
Review of Metroid Prime: Hunters (NDS) by
ElFreakoKid
Advantages: Looks fantastic, online mode should keep you going for a while
Disadvantages: Single player is uninspired, painful
...just over two years since Metroid Prime: Hunters was announced for the Nintendo DS. Originally unveiled to a decent response (critics were impressed with the graphics, but felt the control was lacking) the game has evolved into a PC-style first-person-shooter, with a much improved control style similar to a keyboard and mouse set up and an online mode. The public got a chance to try out the game when the DS was released in the west thanks to a short ...

Metroid Prime.. I HATE YOU CHEATERS
Review of Metroid Prime: Hunters (NDS) by
lemons89
Advantages: Great multiplayer game
Disadvantages: Crappy single player game
...month and half ago purchased Metroid Prime Hunters for the nintendo Ds, so far so good. Now I went to single play option and found it all well and good, you play as Samus who is the female of the characters you can eventually play with, her infinity weapon is rockets which you can charge and they take off 50 or so health. Each character has an infinity weapon which means it is their specific weapon they pick up when playing a multiplayer game when ...

A solid FPS for the DS
Review of Metroid Prime: Hunters (NDS) by
clra2
Advantages: fast paced action, solid FPS controls, single-cartridge multiplayer
Disadvantages: campaign underwhelmed, opponents online are jerks, hand cramps
...actually got my DS for Metroid Prime: Hunters. I enjoyed playing this game but it's not the epic Metroid title i was expecting.
Hunters gives players a choice to use a multitude of weapons which is a great change of pace from past Metroid games and switching is easily done with the touch screen. Each weapon has the standard fire mode and a charged fire mode but shooting costs ammo like in Echos but ammo is easily found everywhere. Plus missiles are ...

Samus is on the hunt again but bigger and better.
Review of Metroid Prime: Hunters (NDS) by
hiamben
Advantages: Stunning graphics
Disadvantages: Repeating story
...beautiful, as they did in Metroid Prime on the GameCube. The Planet-Select interface is very good and futuristic looking. Easy ten here. Thumbs WAY up for Nintendo using Actimagine for the video technology.
Sound 9/10
Sound... Very well done, I give the big N that. Gunshots sound like they should. All of our favorite Metroid tunes are back, from the classic beeping tune after you beat a boss, to the Christian-quire sounding tune when you go ...

Metroid Prime : Hunters
Review of Metroid Prime: Hunters (NDS) by
james00j
Advantages: Gameplay
Disadvantages: Difficulty - very hard
I personally think this game is excellent. This being said, it is not easy- im currently only about 20 % through the game and have been playing the game probably for at least 30-40 hours. The size of the game obvioulsly has its advantages, but it gets very fustrating. The graphics i think are great, all things on it look great, the levels are massive, and are really intuative. Its kind of like Zelda, with many puzzles and ways of getting around each ...

Metroid Prime Hunters review
Review of Metroid Prime: Hunters (NDS) by
Sachababs
Advantages: Amazing online multiplayer
Disadvantages: Limited single player fun
This game has a limited single player, but the wifi multiplayer just blows you away. The single player is fun, but a little repetitive and boring. However, if you have a wifi network accessible, get this game right away. You can play online against other people, and choose which hunter you want to be. The online ranking system is very fun, and you can even have a voice chat with people who are your trusted friends! The graphics are amazing, the sound ...
